Charles Manson, a notorious mass murderer, was convicted of the Manson murders in the 1960s and has been a subject of fascination worldwide. His post-conviction interviews revealed that he had a faint tattoo of a Nazi swastika on his forehead, just above his brow line. Prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi detailed the roots of the tattoo in his book about the Manson murders and the lengthy court trials.
Manson had over 50 tats, but none on his face. However, evidence suggests that face tats have been common among tribes across the world for centuries, with women bearing face tattoos in the Inuit community 4000 years ago. Manson’s face is instantly recognisable due to the swastika tattoo in between his eyebrows. Tattoo artist Ryan Gillikin claims he obtained some of the ashes from Tony Miller, a friend of Manson’s grandson.
Manson’s death prompted a bizarre battle over who would gain possession of his dead body. The Swastika on Manson’s forehead was a tattoo or a scar. Manson and his followers carved an “X” into his forehead. A Charles Manson fanatic couple got Manson portrait tattoos with his ashes.
The Manson family patriarch, who infamously carved a swastika into his forehead, has obtained a marriage license to marry 26-year-old “Star”. The latest photos of Manson have been released by the California Department of Corrections, one week before his next parole hearing.
