Donna Lynne, the Colorado lieutenant governor, is possibly the first major candidate to get a tattoo as part of a campaign and hopes it will inject a boost into her Democratic bid. In a 30-second spot for her gubernatorial bid, the lieutenant governor’s 30-second spot opens with her walking into Old Larimer Street Tattoo in downtown Denver. She says that “you can learn a lot about me from my tattoos”, and that her tattoo proves just how desperate she is to move out of last place hard if elected governor.

On location, we asked Donna Lynne if she really has the tattoo in her recent campaign ad. In her suit and pearls, the 64-year-old candidate went under the needle.
