Actor Dave Bautista, known for his role in "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery," recently shared in an interview with GQ that he covered up a tattoo of a meteor, the logo of his former friend, Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao. This revelation comes in light of Pacquiao's public statements that Bautista found problematic, particularly comments made in 2016 that he deemed "extreme homophobic."

Bautista's history with the tattoo goes back to 2009 when he joined Pacquiao's team for a championship match against Ricky Hatton, marking their friendship with a homage to Pacquiao's famous meteor tattoo on Bautista's own arm. However, following the boxer’s homophobic remarks, Bautista felt compelled to make a change. In his GQ interview, Bautista, who has been a declared ally of the LGBTQ community—having a mother who identifies as lesbian—expressed that these remarks were a significant issue for him.

Though Bautista did not name Pacquiao directly during the interview, fans familiar with his tattoos could easily identify the connection. Bautista's journey with tattoos has been extensively documented, revealing both his pride in some pieces and regret in others. Why Is Dave Bautista'S Head So Bumpy

Why Is Dave Bautista'S Head So Bumpy?

Dave Bautista's distinctive head texture is attributed to a skin condition known as "cutis verticis gyrata" (CVG), characterized by an overgrowth of scalp skin that results in prominent wrinkles. Although these features do not appear to be scars, Bautista has a history of "blading," a wrestling practice involving intentional cuts to create blood during matches, which led to a $100, 000 fine in 2008 after it was banned. Fans began to notice Bautista's head during his role in "Glass Onion," where his shaved head and numerous close-up shots highlighted the condition.

Online speculation about Bautista's physical appearance intensified, with some suggesting that his wrinkles might stem from excessive movie makeup or even plastic surgery. Meanwhile, others linked his unique head texture to common traits among professional wrestlers, who often sustain injuries in the ring due to the thin skin covering their skull. Additionally, Bautista’s age, being in his 40s, has led to discussions around the potential use of Human Growth Hormone (HGH), commonly abused in bodybuilding, with some speculating about health conditions such as acromegaly, which causes tissue overgrowth in hands, feet, and facial structures.

Bautista has not publicly addressed the specifics of his condition or appearance. The overwhelming focus on his head wrinkles from viewers and fans of "Glass Onion" has sparked conversation, highlighting how a seemingly minor feature can captivate audience attention in cinema. As critiques continue, the consensus remains that cutis verticis gyrata is the most plausible explanation for Bautista's distinctive scalp, rather than any implications of steroid use or other medical conditions.

In his exploration of personal tattoos, Bautista also discussed various pieces of body art, including a heartfelt tribute to his second wife, represented by the word 'Angel' in Japanese Kanji on his left bicep. He reflected on his extensive tattoo collection, which includes over fifty hours of work on his back and portraits of his dogs on his thigh. • Manny is boxer who grew up poor with a traditional Christian background in a culture where men have to be more or less masculine to survive, of course he’s going to disagree with a homosexual life style. It doesn’t mean that he hates them, he just doesn’t agree with it. You have to look at Manny’s life as a contextual whole to see where he’s coming from especially him being a fighter. Dave Bautista is an ignorant idiot.

  • It’s always funny perusal homophobes fail wildly at defending their opinions. Their entire beliefs on human sexuality are based on illogical personal prejudices and blind religious dogma; as toxic a combination of ignorance that has ever been created. Any good idea should be able to withstand public scrutiny but homophobes steadfast that no one should question their beliefs lest they somehow become the intolerant ones. Simply put, just because you can’t defend your garbage any longer doesn’t mean people should look the other way.
