📹 10 Signs Your Partner Doesn’t Love You (Even If You Think They Do)
It can be hard to tell if your partner truly loves you. Most of us have been in a relationship where we’ve wondered, “Do they really …
1. Pretend to be busy, rather than spend time with you 2. Only in for the physical relationship 3. Rarely compliment you 4. Make you feel completely dependent on them 5. Only initiate contact when they want/need something 6. Want to break up but stay together so they aren’t alone 7. Blame you for everything 8. Don’t respect you or the relationship 9. They don’t make an effort 10. Don’t care if your happy or sad. RE-EVALUATE
“They don’t care of you’re happy or sad”, I personally felt that one the most. I sadly have experienced more than two of these in my last relationship. Toxic relationships, are no joke, especially mentally abusive ones. I hope and pray that anyone that is in a toxic relationship that they get out of it.
1. They pretend to be busy so not to spend time with you. They may only feel obligated due to the relationship. 2. They are in it for the physical relationship, but not involved with you emotionally. No Intimacy except sex. 3. They rarely compliment you. If your partner doesn’t compliment you often, then they may not really be that into you. 4. They like making you feel totally dependent on them. if your partner always is incapable of being there for you, then they are in it only for what they get out of it. 5. They only initiate contact with you only do it when they only need something from you, people who are in love, love being togethe; they will make time for you. Are you the one always reaching out? 6. They Want to break up with you, but they are afraid of being alone or not being cared for. If they really love you; they will be willing to fight for the relationship. 7. They Blame you for everything. If your partner always blames you for everything that goes wrong, then they do not love you. They are not taking responsibility for their own faults. 8. They don’t Respect the Relationship; Respect is a key component in any healthy relationship. If they do not have new boundaries, when it comes to meeting new people, they do not respect you. 9. They don’t make any effort; then it is a sign they do not love you; they will not care to make it better. 10. They don’t care if you are happy or Sad. People in love care about one another, but if your partner, doesn’t care if you are happy, then they most likely don’t love you.
This is a really good list of “red flags”. I consider myself very lucky that my wife, Penny, didn’t do this kind of crap. I certainly didn’t. We were EMT/Paramedic partners working on the ambulance together for many years. We were a great team on and off duty. Relationships take a tremendous amount of work. I am so glad we were both able to make it work out well for us. I knew her for 43 great years. We lived together for 30 years, married 15 of them (I was her second husband). Unfortunately, she passed away suddenly in May 2020 at the age of 73. I can tell you they don’t make women like Penny anymore. I love and miss you, my wonderful wife. But life goes on.
To all the who came to watch this article….i hope you’ll meet someone one day who will love you as much as you do, care for you and willing to fight for the relationship. If most of these points in this article are in your current relationship then stay strong and prepare for what’s to come coz it eventually will come. (I can also find almost half of these points in my gf)
I’ll say this. I felt like an errand boy. I was good to drive her to and from work, cook meals, make her lunch, and show up to anything she wanted me to be there for. I went our of my way to babysit her anxiety problems and daddy issues. But when it came time for her to show up in my life everything was an issue or an anxiety attack. I don’t think she ever went out of her way to ensure I was happy and to stand up for me if people in her life disrespected me. I used to think love was a feeling, and that because I felt it when she looked at me that it was enough. I now believe that love is an action. You know how happy it would have made me for her to put my lunch together for once? Looking back, I feel used, but I’ve learned a lot. I 100% need to work on my self -worth. I would have been able to set healthy boundaries sooner and would have picked up on and stood up for my self in the moments where I didn’t feel I was getting enough from her. We were the couple that broke up abd got back together 17 times and every time we broke up it was for the same reasons. Me feeling like I’m not getting what I deserve out of it. There would be a lot of lip service and promises made. The smoke would blow over and we would get back together only to be back to me qanting to get out of that relationship once again (for the sameeeee reasons). I don’t think love should be so hard, and I’m not here to make someone they’re not, and I realize no one is perfect. But at the very least make me feel like you want to be a part of my life.
All these signs are true. I have experienced this in my life. I got cheated on. So I request everyone not to be blinded in love. Rather be logical and practical in love. It will be healthy for you mentally, emotionally, physically, financially and also spiritually. I have suffered a lot. I have healed to a large extent but the betrayal still hurts sometimes.
Exit your relationship at your peril. People may exit a relationship after perusal this article, without examining why they ended up in that relationship in the first place. Then, find themselves in exactly the same place in a new relationship. Inner work is essential. Something in you attracted you to an avoidant person in the first place.
Decades ago I could see that my husband did not love me. ALL of these behaviors were evident after three years of marriage. I tried some of the above boundaries and nothing worked. I eventually divorced him, and it was the best decision I ever made. We didn’t have clarity or words for what happened in those days, so I am so grateful for articles like these 50 years later. They help so much.
I’m so tired of people saying “the most important thing is to love yourself”. First of all, I don’t know anyone who can be happy without human connection. Sure, you don’t need to stay in a toxic romantic relationship but you absolutely need a support network. You need to have positive interactions with other people so that you can look BEYOND yourself and feel like a part of something bigger than yourself. Second of all, our feelings about ourselves are always in flux. When you are around people you click with, that get your sense of humour you feel better than when you are around a bunch of people who take themselves too seriously. What Im saying is simple, instead of trying to focus on self improvement try to spend more time around people who make you feel good and less time around people who make you feel bad
Everything you said was true. I felt and saw that from my partner of 6 years, the father of my 3-year-old son. I left him just recently. I moved to a new apartment with my son. We used to live with him, his mom, and 2 sons from his previous relationship. Honestly, I felt it long before and have taught myself to realize there is no love anymore. I helped myself move on while we were still together. And now, that we don’t live together anymore, I feel peace and relief. Relief from all the heartaches and stress. I realized that I deserved to be happy and to be loved. But at the moment, I will focus my time on working and taking care of my son.
I wouldn’t know…I am 63 and never dated, never married, and never related to a woman in a social way. I dealt with my unfulfilled sexual desires by clawing the wall in absolute total frustration. I wasn’t saved till I was 56. By then I was a broken down emotional wreck! I have spent the past few years picking up the pieces and learning to surrender my situation to the Lord! But I no longer wish to seek to marry now. I just want to witness to people and help others get ready for Heaven. Nothing else matters anymore!
The reality that I’ll be alone for the rest of my life is sinking in and somhow I’m learning to accept that. Being alone is a tad less torturous compared to the extreme mental degradation of being in a bad relationship so id rather take it. The world is full of many hurt people hurting others and its become a vicious cycle. Sad reality.
I’ve been married for 7 years now and spent the entire 2021 separated from my husband. Today marks it a week since we’ve reunited and look at me perusal this article already. It’s regret as I’ve ticked all the boxes all the way from 1-8. Don’t waste your time on someone who’ll never love you 😞. Love yourself enough to walk away from dead relationships- in the past year alone I revived my dead career and lived my passions… now a week later I regret leaving all for the same devil… I believe my children deserve better too.
This was a great article. I have been in a relationship for 16 years and I also have MS, which can cause problems about if he really loves you, is honest or wants something else. I now have no feelings of not being loved. I worried that he didn’t know how to leave me when my disabilities got worse, so I kept letting him think I didn’t need as much help as I do. He insists on helping, and also encourages me to try. I know he loves me with his whole heart, thanks to this article. Thank you so much. i also love him with all my heart. No matter what I am going through, he spends all the time he has with me just talking and laughing.
28 years in, and I found I was fighting to save my marriage to someone who said they loved me. 30 years now, I see it’s not my fault why my endeavors to save the marriage didn’t work. It’s hard to see, but my H, meets all the above statements. I’m feeling like I just wasted my life for someone that only wanted me, “so he wouldn’t be alone” or appear to be happily married.
they also don’t love you if : they make no effort to hide their other relationships, in fact, will even hint that you’re not the only one. at the same time, they will accuse you of cheating. when they are sick, the whole world had better tiptoe around them and cater to them. but, when you are sick, they will tell you that you’re faking, and will do nothing to help you. they will not want to spend any money on you, and will resent it even when you use money you have worked for, to buy something you need.
Trust takes years to build but only seconds to destroy. When you get betrayed by a cheating woman, your broken heart takes years to heal and even then you are forever changed. You become a survivor. Time is supposed to heal all wounds but the pain never really goes away, so be careful about who you pick as a partner.
What matters most, is loving yourself. If you don’t have a clear vision of what makes you happy and pursue that, you aren’t going to find the right partner to love and love you back. From experience. Love includes being able to accept the warts all relationships develop, e.g. taking out frustrations on you by your partner and understanding that it isn’t personal, you’re giving them a pass to vent freely. Things like that.
I subscribed. My last relationship hit on most of these negative behaviors. It became extremely toxic for me. Thank you for helping me understand that it wasn’t I who was the problem. I chose not to see the truth. I’m fortunate it ended because I met and am in love with a man who is loving, kind, generous with his time, and a person with whom I can laugh, discuss news and politics, and share many common interests. This is a healthy relationship. I am the happiest I’ve ever been in my adult life.
We once had a fairytale romance. After about a year and a half it changed. That was three years ago and we haven’t been together for a year. I loved him more than anyone I’ve ever had a relationship with. He won’t go away. He is a workaholic and I have to protect myself. He doesn’t want a relationship but doesn’t want to completely be out of my life. I have to go back to no contact and keep it that way. I won’t ever feel completely free until I get him out of my system. I want to love and be happy with whoever God has for me. 🙌🙏
I definitely agree with everything on your list.. unfortunately, I have and am going through most of not ALL of them right now with my husband. Our almost 3yr marriage has gone to extremes from his end. Come to think of it, everything’s been about him!! He constantly makes me feel needy and insecure for asking for the bare minimum of things like affection and support. Our relationship is constantly suffering because he won’t make the effort for me. I’m last on the priority list…ALWAYS. he denies that these things are true but I am the one suffering.
I see different actions on this article that makes me realize that we both didn’t love eachother my ex was more doing his own things and wanted the intimate things when he needed, he wasn’t there for me emotionally. I think by his doing this he pushed me away and vice-versa and I found myself fighting asking him to change. Now I’m 3 years devorsed from him and see he is happier now with his new ❤ he cheated on me with her. But is he really? That’s on him. I don’t live with him or talk to him. He doesn’t want to work things out around or devorse didn’t sign for it, bit wanted everything to go his way, so it’s in court now. I’m working on myself healing from severe ptsd…he doesn’t care what he put me true. I found it in my heart to forgive him to send myself free. The rest is to the judge. I. Getting better have my moodswings now and then. But I know I will be oke at the end. I have commitment issues, don’t easily trust anymore.
Holy shit- literally every. single. one. Left him after 3 years and am Actually waking up…it’s mind boggling how clearly it was painted out in front of me but I had blinders on. 4 months no contact and every day I tell myself “you’re doing amazing sweetie! Good job! Another day of healing and coming back to life 🙌🏻”
Well, this quiz says a lot! My mate got a 10 out of 10 and he swatted my sisters butt and she will not come over to our house anymore but I am able to visit her. I have sought out an attorney who is a God sent and helping me file safely. You are confirming a lot about the the last 4 of 21 yrs. Thank you
my ex bf never compliments me, he told me that if he appreciate me for anything I would become proud which he don’t like. If he really wanted to compliment me he used to compliment like this..” wow you look so nice now, compared to past. ” So the compliment made me believe that I wasn’t looking good in the past. Anyhow I left him after staying in long controlling relationship for 8 years.
Hello My name is Patty, my relationship has been over for so long every single sign does relate to me. He is staying till I say I have had enough because of money. He doesn’t want to look like he is the bad guy. He wants to tell everyone that I said I am done so he looks good. I am done. Thanks for this article
Well, thanks for confirming everything I’ve come to know about being in a relationship with a covert narcissist. The truth is, it’s not you they don’t love but they are incapable of loving anyone else on an intimate level, so run for your life if most of these signs are present in your relationship because such a partner will torture you too.😢
In some cultures, especially if you are in an arranged relationship, Family Honor or Duty is more important than Individual desire. The cultural ties are very strong. Dishonor can and does start blood feuds. If you break a promise, the shame that one feels depends on how deeply connected that person feels to their culture. Losing face is something to be avoided at all costs. Is “Peace at any cost” a party of the relationship? That is a strong indication that you don’t really love that other person. If one person doesn’t refute accusations and blame, and takes the “Silent Road”, then, that can indicate that arriving at a solution with the other half is not worth the work because you feel that the other person DOESN’T LOVE you.
To prevent all these for not to break all types of relationship, you can talk, open up your both honest feelings. Have a dialogue with heart to heart talk. You both focus on the “Relationship Objective”. Everyone of us is not perfect. Let’s break this disease in our society the “Rupture of Relationship”. Instead focus the “Solution” that everyone of us on this planet will be happy.
My wife does all this. That’s why I looked up if I’m loved. I was sexually and physically abused as a young boy and as a man that’s so hard to talk about because no man wants to be a victim. I love my wife will all my heart and soul but last night she assaulted me and said so many things that just crushed me. I’ll be dead by midnight but I just want to say thank you. She never loved me. I gave my very core and she hates me!!!!!! God the pain is relentless and I can’t breathe!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny that I came across this article… This is exactly how I was with my most recent ex… (who I fell out of love with after only the first 3 years of our relationship, from like December 2007 to 2010) when I fell out of love with my ex (yet I stupidly stayed with him & was utterly depressed until he chose to break the relationship off in early February 2017). So basically I continued to remain miserable until he broke off the relationship (which I was relieved when he did, as I was SEVERELY unhappy with him), & now that I’ve moved on (with my now fiancé), I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life (relationship wise), and couldn’t ask for a more caring, loving, and incredible life partner… Can’t wait until this summer when we’re finally married… 😊
I’m passed all this but you got it 90% right!! I just ended a 10 year relationship with a narcissist and man o man did I learn something!! Now, I’m officially done. I’m going to concentrate on me. I should have done it years ago. I’m so much happier alone. It’s not for everyone but it is for me!! 🙂😜😜
After almost 1 year together my now x he started to push me away every time I wanted to Hugh or kiss him, then he informed me “this is not a relationship ” he made me cry really bad, I was giving him everything but sex, all my support and honest love and respect. I still can’t believe that he played with me all that time.
I entered a relationship with someone I only knew for a couple of weeks and I thought we bonded over shared experiences and interests. It felt like love or at least the foundation for such. Now it’s over and I’m having to face all the little signs along the way that this could have turned into something toxic for me. I wanted to believe because it was new it could still evolve into something beautiful. I projected a lot of my love onto them not seeing the emphasis was on physical. He even tried to get me pregnant after knowing each other for a couple of weeks, which I also mistook for love and companionship. I’m just wondering if it’s better than things ended so quickly or if I should have let things play all the way out first to be sure I was wrong. Blah.
human feelings are just like celestial objects, can shine for a short, long, or just a second of time, than disappear and vanish out of the sudden; as long as we all accept this fact of life, we won’t get much hurt when it happens, is like accepting the fact that we will die one day, but if by chance it lasts and you are truly loved, than take it my friends. note: despite my user name, i’m not always a dipshit troll, im serious this time.🙃
I always got so upset when my ex didn’t want to see me. I was always the one asking to hang out with him, and expecting a “not today” or an “I can’t” even if I did go out of my way to ask. It was always something so simple I wanted that made me miserable. Even deliberately telling him that it made me upset, he never changed it. He never would ask simple things like “Can I come see you today?” Or “What days are you free this week?” We sometimes would only go seeing eachother once a week. He lived an hour away, but I would have dropped anything to drive to him. I never felt like he would do that for me.
Wow, so many of your points apply to relationship I was in years ago. Didn’t see (or maybe didn’t want to see the problems). Came to head when found out what I thought was love of my life (corny I know) was having an affair so asked her to leave – gutted me. Took many years and research to understand I’d been living with a narcissist.
Our relationship is strained but in every aspect of the relationship that is neglected there actually is a good reason. Our intimate time has completely dried up but ever sense the pandemic there’s no school. So that effected our time together. Plus I work nights and she works days so there are some days because of our sleep schedules that we only see each other for a few minutes in a 24 hr period. And on our days off when we do go out there’s always someone with us. I’ve suggested planning ahead and asking for help from family members to get a night out together but it just never seems to come together. I mean I could complain about our child manipulating her time but that would not go over well. And honestly that’s the last thing I would ever want to do. So what to do?????
This is a good article with some very good insights that I have not really thought of in such detail before. I think everyone is a “working progress” and love is a precious rarity, so easily taken advantage of within relationships…but I’ve been reading a book titled: “Marriage takes more than Love” about marriage speaking in opposition to the popular lyrics of love songs like the song 🎶 “All you need is love” by the Beatles band…😞♥️
I just got out of a relationship with someone I thought was so amazing. But he made me feel so worthless. He stopped and emotional intimacy after the first few weeks, ghosted me, ignored my attempts to be affectionate, etc. Then I said enough was enough. But he came back and said he would do better. But still nothing changed. He then said I was manipulative for crying during the confrontation. I had to beg for even the slightest bit of acknowledgment as his boyfriend. And multiple times, he mentions new hookups he might try “if we were to break up for some reason”. I confided in him, and told him I was scared of us drifting apart. I needed him to say ‘we’ll work it out, I’m not going anywhere’. But instead he just said “the pessimist in me says we might”. A week later we were broken up, after he had ghosted me again. He says it’s a compatability issue. What do I make of all this? Im so hurt and confused.
I subscribed! So, I have been with my man for 22 years. This past June we found out that I have stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma… and was givin 9 months to live… couldn’t he just pretend for another little while till I’m gone instead of hurting me double? I don’t understand, and I feel so worthless… I’m not even worth loving anymore apparently.
Number 6 is the hardest one. I have been there, with someone who actually wants to break up but is afraid to say it and you are putting all your love and energy into something that is just not gonna work out… so if you are ever in a situation like thag where you wanna break up please talk about it with your partner, it will be better for both, dont force things and dont make them longer just because you are afraid.
I am married and 6 months pregnant but my husband has never complimented me, doesn’t like to spend time with me rather than his family members or friends, plans trips alone or with his family members, never posted any picture of him with me together saying he doesn’t like it.I am the last person in his list to share anything only if he needs to.never makes a call or message me.his reply is “I know” when I say ‘i love you’.He ignores me and stops talking to me if I am not a good daughter in law. He just wants me to do all my responsibilities related to his family members and not hurting them.I planned a lot of things after marriage like every normal couple but just stopped myself there thinking may be these things are not made for me and compromised with the situation (yes,it was arranged married)😊
funny. we used to be best friends, began to date, then after about two months, everything i loved about him vanished. his friend had told me they were into him, we talked about it, and we overcame that. he still talks to that friend. i cant tell him im uncomfortable with stuff he does because im scared of drawing him away, but even the small things in texts i pick up on. he ignores when i say im sad, tries to dodge questions i have about our relationship, and never asks me how i feel. i don’t want to break up because i still love him for who i remember him as. i cant even explain it all here, but i just wish i had my man back. he’s not the same.
He broke up with me but we still talk everyday. He calls me as soon as he gets home from work and before he goes to bed…. The other day he said not to hold his hand, he’s having a hard enough time being my friend…..??? I’m confused.. do I wait for him to get his life together or do I just let it go and be just friend’s?? I’m in love with him still and I believe he loves me too.
I’ve been married to my husband for 10 months. I’m 23 and he is 25. But in the last few months I have never felt appreciated or loved. I wanted to spend time with him but he said he’s always so busy. We didn’t even talk much and he said since we’re living together we don’t have any topics to talk about. He always blamed me for everything. He even said I can’t do anything with my career I’m gonna be a total disappointment etc etc. And he said he wanted his freedom back he wants to hang out with his friends more and have fun. Because of me he can’t do any of this.Even though he spent at least 2days a week with his friends spending all night drinking.I know I should move on but I just can’t do it. Can someone please help me 🙏🏻
I know that this is 2 years old now but please tell me that other people are perusal this to see if they are finding these traits in themselves, i have been in my relationship for nearly 2 years now and the guy i am with is a lovely person, but i am constantly having a battle with myself on if i even truely love him because i have never actually had a long lasting relationship before and so this is the first proper one i have had i tried to break up with him before but when i did i was going through a complete emotional downward spiral which made me think maybe i did but wasnt seeing it until afterwards and we got back together the next day (which is why i say 2 years, more like a year then nearly a year) so please if anyone could share their opinions that would be really helpful
After 21 yrs she called it quits, i honestly never thot it would happen, its been 12 yrs now, i cant force myself into another relationship, & now that im nearing 53, life just feels over, im so disappointed in myself for having my life turnout this way. Never would i have thot id go out alone with no one by my side
As someone who’s passionate about checking if my other significant is cheating, I’d honestly love to do this. It looks like a lot of fun. Also, the one cyber spy shouting encouragement when Brian Hacks Online was doing drills on the system was fantastic. I’d love to have that dude just follow me around and deafen me with motivation.
1. Is actually always busy yeah helping everyone else? Single females around the neighborhood, co-workers after work, team mates before games, because they don’t have a man to do the work for them. 2. It’s quick and nothing in it for me, so yeah. 3. Doesn’t ever compliment me, never has but plenty of compliments for coworkers and team mates except not me when I played on the team. 4. I’m a stay at home mom so no income means exactly that. I have wore 2nd hand everything all our marriage but his stuff has to be new because he works. No gas I’m the car oh well guess I’m walking or staying home. 5. Unclear because we see eachother everyday. 6. Unsure but he certainly would not fight for us. 7. Yep, everything. 8. Zero respect 9. Birthday and Christmas presents.
I have not watched this article yet but firmly believe that everyone has the potential to be a loving partner if they would only look on the bright side of life. If they focus only negative aspects of life and are not grateful for water to drink, food to eat, or air to breathe then they will need to learn to look at that other side to be a lovely partner.
I clicked on the link for women and I’m a good man/husband/father getting better everyday but when it comes to long-term relationships my opinion but as I have seen throughout my life I’ve had my eyes wide open and I’ve ever never shied from interacting and asking questions to people about people in general. a woman can keep a long-term relationship together pretty darn easy with oral sex then sex. any sensual touch and flirting is a great way to keep a their man and keep him strong in his ego as he walks in life with her. I had to put my two cents in that will definitely add up real fast if any shall listen to top-notch advice. I hope the best for everyone, and wish/pray/push good thoughts to the ones that are loyal to each other and themselfs
I broke up with my girlfriend today n I wish I watched this sooner … this might even saved the relationship ! It’s so true … idk it’s different from person to person but for me it’s so true … n I knw I need to make some change with my behaviour . Thank u .. but it’s kinda scary too. I wish all the couples well n those who r perusal … don’t break up find solutions !
Feel sad for my self. All these mentioned are there in my relationship. I have always wanted to spend time with him but he is always busy. He never compliments me. NEVER He never apologises for any mistake he makes. He ignored me for days when we have a fight or a disagreement. I am always left feeling guilty of something i never did Im exausted now, tired of everything and tired to trying to fix everything
I’m 56, I doubt I’ll ever find anyone to love me as much as I’m capable. ‘ The worst thing you can ever hear in a relationship is “I love you” and later saying, ” It slipped out” when you ask them, did you really mean that? That cats the deepest and widest hole in a person’s heart, that just can’t be fixed. You go into a deep depression and no longer trust or believe in men again.
I discovered on my honeymoon that sex was not going to be part of our marriage. I wish I knew what red flags were back then and what the implications of staying in this so called marriage would provide me. I lasted 10 years and I have since then spent 12 years trying to recover from crippling depression and have not returned to living a fulfilling life as yet. I now believe in sex before marriage and prenuptial agreements. Never ignore red flags, there are deadly consequences
These were some great points. I just want to interject on the tip for #1 (not spending time) as I’m not sure if it will be helpful. It addresses the symptom and not the real problem. We have to be able to evaluate the “why’s” especially if this is a persisting problem that you have tried to address before with little to no changes from your partner. Relationships are about equality, value, selflessness and respect (among other things) & in order for it to work, both parties need put in the effort and there needs to be open honest respectful communication. The theory of them not being interested would reveal itself through unchanged behavior. Then the ball would be in your court as to your next course of action.
This certainly is not normal for me. I am crazy about my SO. Even if we fight and I don’t particularly like him in the moment, I still feel the underlying love for him. And after a fight, while we process our feelings, I miss the closeness we usually have. Stress, etc. can distract me from my love for him, but if I focus on him again then it comes right back. Because I love him and that feeling doesn’t waver. I would not like to be in a relationship with a man who only had feelings toward me two days out of every almost two weeks. That ratio is super skewed in favor of not-love. I think I deserve better. You should seriously examine why you go through these cycles. I am not a psychiatrist, but if you regularly feel down about everything, not just your partners, it might be depression.
Yes I agree one hundred and fifty percent with every bit of what the criteria is to evaluate whether or not your partner loves you. What is so sad is that my boyfriend actually was not initially? Interested in me he was initially interested in my sister. So if there’s anything that makes you feel insecure that’ll definitely ruined it all!!!
My boyfriend hurt my feelings when he didn’t get me nothing for my birthday when it came last Wednesday and I was very upset at him but then my dad talked to him on the phone and explained to him. If you don’t get your if you don’t get your activate. My daughter’s not gonna see you anymore and that really? I hope that helped my boyfriend to realize what he did was wrong. My name is Alexis.
I subscribed bc the man I’ve been with for 4 years decided to never respect the relationship & recently started not coming home for days claiming he “had to work extra hours” yeah… and that’s why he spent the night at a hotel according to his shared location & why he was out 30 miles from home eating at a restaurant with someone else… bc work… right! I’m presently trying to move out but bc he made it impossible for me to have rental history (I was never on the lease or any other things like utilities or bank accounts) then no apartments in DFW Tx (unless I go to a ghetto where rent is cheap) will approve me unless I make 3 times the rent-which means I must make at least $24/hr. I work retail & even as a supervisor I’ve topped off at $16.50/hr.
he rare compliment me he used to be toxic to me a. lottt they dont make em feel comfortable i just cant am scared to ask him for anything when i am in love i love to be with him 24/7 after my work directly want to hear their pretty voice and pretty face but i dont fight for this because i get. blamed for something i didnt do is not point of me fighting i see the partner to be alone his scared to move on he didnt respect me enough i am a christian his muslim we not same he dont understand my true feelings 😞 very time i used to call and he made name cry he laugh saying cry of crocodile
I don’t like getting compliments and I rarely give out compliments for free. A person genuinely has to do something worthy of a compliment. Like for example…accomplish something or impress with mind blowing information. But simply looking nice doesn’t get a compliment even if I might feel inside that “damn she looks good”.
Dude, number one… you might get busy with life too grow your situation. So one is bs. 2. With kids, 2 is hard. Especially when you got kids. 4. This can go the other way too. Sometimes people are week in this area. 5. Sometimes they over contact to compensate for the task connection. If oneis busy growing your situating this isn’t always true. 7… I’m a guy. It’s always my fault period. 8. I mean, some people were not ment to be with someone because they didn’t mature that far. 9. Effort is blind. 10. This isn’t always true for everyone and there are situations that people don’t grow The same rate and there are some undiagnosed mental issues that complicate this. This isn’t good practical information. It’s more the good information for the Cinderella story. Life isn’t if the shoe fits. This is all together horrible for practical life and practical analysis. If you buy this you could be the problem.
What is stated is based on conditional karmic and conventional fit into a box type thing! True pure love is very different and if you don’t work on yourself, your baggage and traumas, you carry it into those relationships to teach you what you need to heal! To be loved properly you have to love yourself properly and focus on you, not what is outside of you then your person will complement that of which you give to yourself!
I was married to a guy like this 😢 just in the marriage to get a roof over his head and food to eat, I was only 20yo and my first sexual partner, I was to immature to know better but woke up after 2ys of marriage and told him to find his own place to live and he left, the best move I ever made,it was really hard because I loved him so much but it was better than being alone all the time,he would tell me he was busy working but he never had any money to help with anything 😔
Please stay very careful with being open to strangers you might be suspicious about since others are testy and want to see how you react or If you’ll react. If someone makes you feel comfortable and gives you the sense that they’ll help you always – Trust your heart and stay with them. I’ve been toyed around with by many young Women who were not really committed and I never noticed any signs since I never felt the need for suspicions once you’ve met their Family and friend(s)
People are just not right. There isn’t anything that is lovely, loving, or loveable about people. I believe that It isn’t about love between couples. You find someone that you’re attracted to, and you choose to love them in spite of their failures, imperfections, problems, and other nonsense. Initially, you’ll love them, but usually, it doesn’t end up that way in the long run. Besides, true love is sacrificed for the one you have dedicated your life to. Love is taking acting to care for the person you’ve longed after the thrill is gone. This, to me, is true love long after the thrill falling in love is nomore. That, to me, is just being realistic about relationships.
I’m pretty sure I could drop dead and he’d be unaffected by it. I regret spending my entire 30s with someone who doesn’t love me the same in return. I regret spending some of my best years on him. Now I’m 42 and have to start all over again. It would be better if I left one of the first times he showed me how he really felt about me.. To be honest I don’t know if I can go on but I don’t want to give another sliver of my love encouragement affection or time.. He promises time together but when it’s time he has every excuse why he can’t, or just denies everything acting like he didn’t just ditch me off on a day he promised to spend time together. Hardy the best feeling he promised. I’m done feeling hurt n let down. I’d rather be dead than feel like this all the time
Lol the fact ppl watch vids like this to tell them if someone loves you, then you don’t need to be in a relationship, only you can know yourself..and your worth, ppl we all live to much on others opinions and say so,than our own insight…wake and live your life based on your way not how others tell you, respectfully …this is the way..
The whole need to be in constant contact with your partner doesn’t seem healthy to me. If my sweets needs to go to work, or run some errands, it’s fine that they go, and if they want to let me know if they are running late or if I want to meet up, that is fine, but I do not need them to call me after every stop they make. Or once an hour. I think that is obsessive. It drives me insane when I am out with friends, and they are all on the phone or texting their S/o isn’t there anything they can do on their own? Sometimes we need a girls/guys night out. Of course I want to come home to my love and be in their arms at the end of the night, but it is perfectly ok to spend a few hours apart!
It’s like he’s always been financially there for me and my daughter (not his biological daughter) but he’s become so angry with me or irritated because i can be “insecure” and because I’ve always had trust issues even before I met him. So it changed him, he’s still affectionate and buys me and my daughter gifts. Spends some time with us during the week but if I trigger him he becomes very angry. I’m also currently pregnant by him, so I’m just worried for my relationship.
These are found in my husband,i am mother of his four children and married since 19 years .. still he doesn’t give any value to me . His friends are very valuable for him, more then his own kids. I am not allowed to work,so is dependent on him . Do all his chores and run the house. He spents days not talking to me except for saying good morning . I walk on eggshells talking to him as he gets ill tempered, stars shouting, humiliating amd make odd decisions very quickly. 💔💔💔
When own desires are more important than the person.. It fall off, This is not love to me, love is love man, its something very deep, Not just staying together and talking adorably, Need to sacrifice, Need to listen to the other person and accept, For everyperson love can be different, I dont know maybe I think love differently.
Let’s be honest. it’s hard to stay in love for years and years. In most relationships, love wears thin, however, it can rekindle at key moments. Relationships are not just about love, they’re about friendship. about mutual support, about meeting life’s challenges together, and about commitment and duty, especially if children are involved. Also this need for a partner to be endlessly giving gifts. compliments, making endless contact, spending all their time with the needy person, is hardly healthy. Sounds a lot like narcissism, like some cult leader or dictator who wants endless adoration, and if they don’t get it, sees it as a betrayal.
DO NOT TAKE THIS ADVICE BECUZ NOT EVERYBODY IS THE SAME !! Even at the End of the article it acknowledges This Fact !! Totally contradicts it’s self!! Seriously ~ Everybody is different and have had different experiences and or have gone thru Things that You or Others haven’t, Nobody is the same & Do Not Go Based off wat this article Says Cuz it’s Not Accurate & This article Speaks on What It sees fit and the reasons why they feel like they are Giving the proper information ::: But Each to there Own and Nobody can Speak on anybody’s Way of Loving, caring or showing how they Show there affection ~ So Do Not Take This advice and Act on it ~ Do Wat you Do and Feel wat you Feel and If you choose to be with somebody Regaurdless of how they may be or act ! Then Stay where you at and be with whom you be ~ Only thing to Never Tolerate is Physical Abuse !! If that is Something you experience with Your Person ~ Then Ditch that Relationship, Cuz that’s not Love ~ Other then that ~ Follow your Heart and wat you Feel or Desire ~
A old friend of mine from high school revealed to me she always thought I was smoking hot and still hasn’t forgotten me even 15 years later. I was shocked. Why? Because she’s married!!! And appears to be happily married!!! It just goes to show you never really know what’s in a persons mind your with. And NO I did not meet her and follow up on it. I am NOT a home wrecker.
I wish this was in Spanish so i can send it to my boyfriend. Every time i bring this subject up he always says im wrong and wants to change topics. It is always about him. And supposably im wrong and dont make sense or i aint intelligent enough to understand. Plus being disabled it hurts so much to be told that😢
This kind of hurts. Feel like my wife is only with me because of physical part of relationship and she is doing things that make herself happy. She constantly tells me that her life would be empty if I wasn’t in it but I see her and she looks different. She is not acting the same anymore. Feel lost and don’t know what to do.
That’s not always the facts! I went through a period of five years that my life went haywire and hectic. But I lost the best guy I’ve ever dated. I just needed more time to get my life, including my healthcare together. I didn’t even see an end in sight, or how to fix it. Now I feel more in control and organized and my life is much better, but he’s gone. I gained experience and knowledge, but I lost a great guy, that I genuinely loved.
After perusal this article yesterday i ended my relationship.. She got almost all these signs. I am heart broken, but i saw and felt this coming for some time.. my intuition was awake. It was not because of this article, but this confirmed me what i already knew. And i had to face reality, make decision and let her go. She didn’t try to fight for me.. she did nothing. B’ch.
You fall in love then love becomes everything, after a long time in a relationship you marry, after a while you realize love can be a one-way street. You have no choice to walk that road, later in life want a new start so you go long time after file for divorce at that point come to find out you was never married it was never filed. Time will tell 😮
One of my ex lovers was cunning. We never lived together but spent a lot of time together at his place or mine. I felt he was pulling away one day when I was cooking a huge roast for lunch. He said he had some errands to run and he’d be back for lunch. He even left his flip flops behind (he hated wearing anything on his feet and at weekends was barefoot all the time). I had a funny feeling he wouldn’t come back for lunch and that he’d left his flip flops behind to fool me and make me think he was coming back. But he didn’t. I was right. He just didn’t want to tell me and cause a scene (not that I would have and he had never seen me behave like that). It was his own guilt that made him avoid telling me the truth. He knew he was being sneaky. i didn’t hear from him till a week later…..he said he had been busy and things had come up. I knew we were on the downhill slide.
2 months in and i just… Literally don’t feel like my girlfriend cares at all. We live literally 2 minutes away from each other, yet i rarely see her. I always initiate contact first. I am always the one to say “let’s meet up” and there is like a 70% chance that she says “i wanna be alone today” or “I’m busy with…” or “Today is not good” she never says good morning first, she never makes an effort in any way at all. I do all the effort, all the planning, sometimes i don’t even get a “love you too” literally 50-50 as if she is weighing in her mind if she should say it back or not. I don’t understand why she got very willingly into a relationship with me if she didn’t have the feelings? I am not suspecting her of cheating at all. I just think she doesn’t love me. She might care a little, but even that, not much. I feel so weird because now i don’t know if i should leave her or give her some time as 2 months isn’t very long and i don’t know if she might be going through something she did not share with me. Even when we are together she literally never once said that she loves me first.
I’m not going to presume to have any better answers than you do. My background is in anthropology and sociology, and I very seldom write comments but perusal your article I felt compelled. There may be folks doing research or perhaps curiosity is the reason people find your articles. And this is the only one I’ve watched… It concerns me that many people drawn to articles like this one are looking for guidance, advice, insight… If we’re going to assume any type of authority on asubject, or if there’s any authority implied, I believe we have the responsibility to present the best available information to the best of our ability. There is some good information in this article, And I understand that life is complicated and many are looking for ways to simplify or looking for simple answers. For me the litmus test for love has always been the same across the board. Do I want more for this person than I want for myself. Or, Would I jump on the grenade for this person? And Love means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. It’s a very subjective experience, and people’s interpretations of what love is supposed to feel like how it’s supposed to taste and smell, what it sounds like, how subtle or dynamic it is, are as variable as our personalities. I’m worried because clearly based on the subject matter there will be vulnerable people perusal this article that are looking for guidance and advice because they’re preparing to make some decisions that may be the most important in their lives.
In all my relationships I’ve struggled with knowing how much I’m supposed to be feeling. My feelings tend to cycle on and off in long cycles and when they feel like they are off, I have trouble showing affection and love because I feel like I’m being inauthentic. For instance, I might have a 2 day period where I feel like my feelings are really on, then they might not come back for like a week and half. When I am around them or think of them during this period, I feel completely neutral about them, and like I could totally walk away and be fine. Then when my feelings come back on, I feel good and sure I need them in my life and I feel like I authentically like them. But then they will just die off again suddenly. This seems to happen for me within a month of the relationship starting and continues indefinitely till it ends. I feel like I’m always waiting for the next cycle to happen again, and I’m never quite sure it will happen again. I don’t like the way it makes me feel. And it hurts my partners. At first I thought it was because I just wasn’t compatible with my previous partners. But after a recent breakup with a partner who I was extremely compatible with, I’m not so sure anymore. Talking to other people it seems like they have much more of a consistent set of feelings day to day. Is this normal?
Of 18byears with my darling partner after a car accident and pain killers and anti depressants mood swings she ask me to go . I’m totally lost and want my heart out back together. I’m now still in the same house 3 months later as otherwise I’d be homeless and no food. I sleep in a separate room and have to stay away to give her space. And I see the children albeit they too busy in there phones. It’s killing me I so miss her and her smile and her allowing me to give her a hug.
I watch this but I didn’t want to. It just confirms my husband of 35 year doesn’t love me. He is disabled and he just told me I only think of myself. I’m trying to get him to talk to me. I mean about feeling. I know I should know his feelings are by how he treats me. I ask for a bit of maybe hand holding or a meaningful hug or kiss even on the cheek or hand . I have a lot of anxiety he doesn’t understand why I can’t just stop it. Because he doesn’t have it. I think I would know if he cared about me. Now he says I don’t care about him. I thinks this is a form of gaslighting. The absolutely crazy thing is he just went upstairs to read his Bible. He does it every night and in the afternoon he has prayer time.He could be a great Bible teacher but he’s disabled can’t sit so he lays on his stomach on the floor. Since he has to have his meals on the floor I sit on the couch and eat with him. We are home bound. Have no friends. I want some but have social anxiety and he says he chooses not to have friends. I try not to bother him . He keeps busy by working putting together 3D printers. He used to design package machinery. Had about 8-10 National and international patents under his name. Under the company he worked for 12 years ago. Know I have no one that cares about me is heartbreaking. I’m now 68 to late to start over hes 57. So very sad our lives are A total wasted very haven’t lived and surly don’t live now. I wonder what statistics say my future holds.
