That’s really only a concern if you go lighter, which requires that you bleach your hair very heavily. Pauley is naturally a blonde and probably only uses a low strength developer to make that dye stick. As long as you deep condition your hair after dying going darker is not a big deal at all. Honestly I’d be more worried about all of the heat styling they do rather than the dye, especially since it’s only root touch ups.

Funny thing about their claims about Mark Harmon is that none of the other actors supported her… In a recent interview, Michael Weatherly said, when asked if he could choose only one person to help him, in a bad moment and he said “Mark Harmon”. The others also always say Harmon is a great guy. Someone is lying, be it Harmon or Paulette.
I lost all respect for her when she started making claims and pointing fingers at Mark Harmon. The claims seem to come just before her new show was suppose to start, I don’t think it ever did. It makes me wonder if this was a publicity stunt to get more views for her new show. I don’t care if it was or not, she still threw Mark under a semi-truck. Just sad really.

Sounds more like they asked her to walk away seemingly of her own terms rather than publicly get canned so she attempted to discredit the show. Saying i’m quitting acting upon leaving is also a move someone trying to pull heart strings to get more undeserved credibility, then goes straight into new show thats ‘great and best 30 mins of tv) ye nope not buying it. Abby may have been a good character but just because I liked the character does not mean im going to believe what the actress claims with no evidence presented.
There are some actors who make a show and others who think they do but the show gets along just fine without them. After 4 or 5 episodes I had completely adjusted to NCIS without Abby. Tony, Ziva and Ducky are more missed however Bishop and Torres have more than filled the bill. If Harmon went then so to would NCIS. As for Perette’s claims, I find it extraordinary that NOT ONE current or former cast member or producer or director has backed her claims.
I liked Abby in the beginning. Her character flawless. However, as the years went by nothing really changed in character development . It was too stagnant. Plus, I think they could of updated her look over time. I love ponytails don’t get me wrong but her hair never changed. Ugh. I love the new character for the NCIS lab. She is so cute.
I happen to know one of the actors in NCIS, and he says Harmon is a stand up guy, and doesn’t believe anything this woman said. He does happen to be a joker, but thats just one of the things we already knew. Sounds to me this chick just wanted to jump on the me too movement since it was a Thing and she was just tired of working.
Sorry, don’t believe a word of her problem with Mark Harmon. After all no else appears to have anything bad to say about him. Maybe Miss Perrette could benefit from therapy as time has shown that she’s had difficulty maintaining personal relationships. I do think she is a well-meaning lady and has helped many less fortunate than herself. I wish her the best.

And Abby with mark together is my favorite characters together because there was this special bond but hey they are professional actor/actress. We don’t always know what happen offset.
As an animal activist it breaks my heart when any animal has to be put down. Attacking and drawing blood of any human is just such a reason. Though I don’t believe it’s an animals fault just bad parenting. Why dogs have to suffer from bad human ownership will forever trouble me. Regardless of the owner and their influence dogs that draw blood are a future risk even with extensive retraining. I’d prefer to put down the bad parent but then the capital punishment debate starts. I loved her as a Abbey however she left and she needs to move on. Stop rehashing what happen on NCIS she’s burnt that bridge and I watched her comedy show when it was on and I couldn’t get past the second episode I knew it wasn’t going to make it just from the get go. I certainly hope her writing a book of her life isn’t completely surrounded by what occurred, in her opinion on NCIS. I haven’t read a word from anyone else on the show a writer a director, produce or anybody say anything about this dog incident. To be honest I’ve never seen a dog just run up and bite someone. Crewmember involve never has said a word about it so she needs to let it go and move on.
One part drama llama, one part snowflake. Sounds like she was the problem and everyone else is being polite not throwing shade on her. Meanwhile she insinuates lots of things about other people but then won’t give details to back it up. This is how gaslighting starts, but instead of getting the controversy and attention she wants, everyone just kind of shrugged her off and got on with their lives without her. Now she teases what few fans she has left, alternating between claiming to retire while still looking for work, but she can save face by claiming it’s her choice when she doesn’t get many role offers.
At the very beginning of the show Abby’s character was amazing, she was cute she was intriguing. But after season 2 she became annoying, she became nothing more than a mean girl a spoiled rotten brat, she was like the baby sister that is mean to everyone else around her except those she chooses to be sweet to. The problem with the character of Abby was that everyone else had a character that evolved, they grew they changed the evolved except for Abby. Abby’s character in her late 40s showing wear and tear dressed and acted the exact same as when they appeared on JAG and she was an adorable, edgy forensic scientist flirting with tony. Along with that, the way she treats other women in particular just because she does not know them or just because she is jealous of them. She acts as if Gibbs belongs to her she gets upset when she is not the center of attention, and until you kiss her behind she makes your life miserable. It got so bad that when I watch episodes of NCIS and I watch them often I literally fast forward past the parts of Abby. I just cannot stand to watch her endless spoiled brat rambling.
I do miss see her as Abby on NCIS, NCIS is one of my Favorite shows! Her personality is fun, always drinking caffpows and her excitement like when Gibs walks into the labs and Abby says “Gibs! Gibs! Gibs! I’ve got something!” all happy. In season 18 after she left the episode involving pitbulls that lost in illegla dog fights being drown in sunken dog kennels and Gibs being fired, I knew Abby as a characer liked animals, and if she was there she’d want to bring the injuried pitbull the team found home. Gibs (the character) took the dog in though.
She led everyone to believe it was a sexual assault when it wasn’t she wasn’t even involved she appropriated someone else’s situation and made it her own. A tweet she since deleted but was on the way back machine “It wasn’t sexual in nature along with not being directed towards her or involving her ended up she was assuming someone else’s situation with Harmon. He never did anything directly to her. One of her now deleted tweets : “You think I didn’t expect blow back? You got me wrong. THIS happened To my crew member and I fought like hell to keep it from happening again! To protect my crew! And then I was physically assaulted for saying NO!? and I lost my job.” It came out that what really happened was a co-worker got bitten by Harmons dog and she was pissed he brought the dog in again. (Stupid of him yes but not SA or sex related crime) Someone claims she was petitioning for the dog to be put down. Good show of reality there for ppl who assume a screen persona is the same as the persons real life persona. It’s far from the picture she painted online and allowed others to believe.
I liked her character Abby very much and I am glad to hear it inspired many young women to study science and maths. But be honest: Can she play the vivid teenager as a woman over her fifty’s? Acting childish round the „devine” Mr. Gibbs? It was time to leave, the character doesn’t fit to her any more. Good bye, Abby. Pauley, you will find another interesting role non being cringey. You deserve something better.
I’m a huge NCIS fan. Looking back, Abby was more appealing as a character in season 1. She was tuff, wise, street smart, intelligent and nobodies fool. She could hold her own with anyone. But from season two and on until her departure, she was like a foolish immature, childish girl. The Goth-Vampire look should have been played down has Ms. Perrette started showing her age. That whole Goth thing wasn’t working anymore. Frankly I’m glad she’s gone. I wasn’t a fan of Kasie Hines at first, but she seem to grow on me. I like that character much more than Abby.
I love this show, but when she left and Mark Harmon left. I can’t bring myself to continue to watch it. Wow!!! Damn you Mark Harmon!!! That show was So successful because of the characters. I loved all of them. Gabby was my favorite next to Tony Dinoso. Lol. I wish Everyone comes together and reunite.
I absolutely love Abby & Gibbs relationship on NCIS. I am so sorry to hear that Gibbs treated her badly. I must say that Abby is friggin awesome & I love her dearly.God Bless you Abby & take care of yourself. I’m perusal NCIS for the 3rd time on Netflix. I love this show so much. Were I her, I would have gone totally crazy playing “Abby.” Her character was a silly, over-reacting little girl, with a doctoral degree in forensic science. Don’t’ know why they want that character to be so “over the top.” Anyway, it seems like they are letting the next one act like an adult, hopefully.
If you read court documents involving her .. She’s less than truthful.. There is a page on Twitter that talks about her & encourages people to actually research her & read court documents on Alot of accusations she’s made .. I’ve read the documents & court transcripts & the only problematic one is her …
I am sure in reality Pauley is a good person …But She was my least liked character. on NCIS….. First season was fabulous…Beautiful….Super Smart….Funny….then she got so damn Childish….Silly…..and the damn Drama drove me Crazy !!! Way to large a woman to be trying to wear those Little Girl Outfits….That character just grated on my nerves…..Thank God for Fast Forward !!!
I, personally am glad she is off the show. I grew tired of her character and the immature nature Abby could portray at times. I think Casey is a much better replacement for the forensic scientist. I believe the show is much better without her. Even now without Mark Harmon’s Gibbs, I still love the show and Agent Parker brings a new layer to the show.
I think… it’s really sad to me how seemingly no body has her back in her accusations against others / the dog incident if it was / is actually true. If she’s lying though… ugh, I don’t know who to believe or what to believe some times any more when ever I see tv / movie drama news and people accusing certain people of horrible things and behaviour….the world has enough negativity in it…I prefer happy news. I hope that if there are issues with her having gone mental or lying that she will either get the help she needs and grow up a bit, stop lying, and apologize to every one. If it is the opposite and everyone is against her for no good reason / a stupid reason then they are the ones who need to grow up a bit and apologize to her and her fans for such hurtful and unprofessional conduct and lying about her / not defending her or taking her side, ect.
Regardless of any of the “He said she said” the Police should have had the animal destroyed if the guy had to have serious hospital treatment. I appreciate the ridiculous work situation in the USA which is probably why cast and crew wouldn’t speak up but the Hospital must be obliged to report an animal attack in the same way as a weapon wound (?)
She comes across to me as a self absorbed prima donna. Harmon’s dog was tied up. No danger to the crew. She threw a tantrum and left the show. The show continues to do well with out her….and she’s not doing well with it. I do not believe Mark Harmon physically abused her. If he had, more people would have come forward. I think she’s lying in order to save face and make herself look good.
I miss Pauley Perette on NCIS but if she was uncomfortable in her situation she absolutely did the right thing! Being in any kind of situation that makes you uncomfortable everyday should not happen. It’s unfortunate as I absolutely loved her character. It seems quite interesting to me that almost ALL the female actors have been killed off or left.
True her character was awesome and amaseing and her leaveing messed up the show but she’s still an amassing gal and many females are following the lead of the amassing criminalist and that’s awesome but I do hope she finds her path and moves past her grief but if you have to go I wish her very well and want her to know she’s loved by many of her fans
I am sad they never got along really crazy as they Gibbs and Abby were completely amazing. And though the show continued with each departure there are fans that leaves. Sure mayb it wasn’t enuf for the show to be cancelled but it’s sumn. I will never say sum one’s claims are not valid look at Cosby that completely shocked me cuz I’m a Cosby fan I just hope ppl will get along cuz after all they are our entertainment. NCIS was definitely my fav show I was sad after Kate and Jenny, devastated after Ziva and though the rest of the cast were a maze all especially Gibbs Ducky and Abby…. when there was no more Tony, NCIS LA became my main staple. Not sure who my hook is over there yet cuz I love everybody but it’s probably Densi. When I realized Tiva was going no where Densi grabbed me so def them
The lady who replaced parley well her character just doesn’t have the same charisma as Paulette. I love NCIS but I’m not a fan of the new forensic scientist and think they could do with finding someone else. I have nothing against the actress herself. She isn’t a bad person the character just isn’t very interesting and just doesn’t have the same appeal.
I like her to become the next Elvira only because what’s going to happen to the old Syfy shows I still love the Creature from the Black Lagoon somebody’s got to do it she’s pretty enough to do it kind of like the old shows chiller tales of the crypt Jeepers Creepers and then she can work on her book after she gets off the sitcom but I miss Elvira once in a while I see her or not that much though
I would trade mark harmon for the rest of the old cast, Abby, Tony and Ziva ANYDAY! I used to love the show until the good crew left. Only good person now is Ducky. I can’t help but wonder if the common denominator for everyone quitting was Mark Harmon?? Perhaps he’s horrible to work with. He seems like he may be an arrogant, my way or the highway man…which is a shame, because I first began perusal NCIS because he starred in it, but now I have a hard time perusal because it seems the network would rather keep him happy by allowing him to mistreat the rest of the cast, causing them to quit, rather than tell Harmon to be respectful or leave, which could have prevented all the other cast members from quitting. I mean, if my dog attacked a human, causing them physical or emotional pain, I would NEVER bring the dog back on set, whether the dog was provoked or not, especially if other cast members expressed concern for their own safety. To still keep bringing the dog was an idiotic, self centred thing to do. And the network did back that Pauley had expressed safety concerns but that they did “try to address it and work out a resolution “….more like swept it under the rug and told her to suck it up if she wants to be on the show. The other cast mates don’t want to speak out because it could ruin their careers. Funny how the actor that played Kate, wouldn’t say why she left for years afterwards..and others said “for personal reasons they don’t want to discuss”.
I don’t think any assults happened, I think Pauley misterpted events/ overreacted. I do however think Pauley was pushed out of the show and kicked to curb. I find it odd that Mark hasn’t said anything and everyone else is acting like he’s the best guy ever. Gives me a “nothing to see here” vibe. Mark did also push the creator of the show i think it was out of his job when that simply did not need to happen. Also people have had issues with him on other sets outside of NCIS, you can look it up yourselves. You all act like trouble follows Pauley but the only one who trouble follows is Mark. Both of these issues could have been easily solved by siting down and talking yet Mark wouldn’t do that. I also would like to point out the absurd amount of people that left the show Season 14 onwards.
Sounds like too much teenage drama. My friend used to say, the more you stir sh**, the worse it stinks. “Good-bye, NCIS. I have my reasons that shall remain private” is all we needed to hear. She would have retained the world’s coolest forensics gal in all of TV. I, for one, would like to think Jeri Ryan had a little to do with the quantum mechanics side of the equation.
If Mark Harmon’s dog attacked a crew member, who then required stitches. Why? Would Mark continue to bring his dog back to the set. That’s not Ok. That’s truly arrogant behaviour. Mark is the star of that show. Everybody bows to the star, Lea Michelle anybody..! Maybe Pauley is the Naya of NCIS everybody is dismissing her now. But time will tell.
Loved loved loved “Broke”. Watched every episode and so disappointed when it canceled. Maybe that show was a pre-curser to or a hint to what would happen a grander scale during covid??? She played a great part, but she is a full drama queen she was going to be fired but stepped down just before the news was delivered to her . Let’s be honest here . Lol she literally is responsible for all the drama on her set and with all the other actors on set . She is a horrible human being in real life . Telling kids it’s OK to not have a gender and we don’t need religion. No wonder the show was getting rid of her .
Season 18 of NCIS was a mess due to Mark Harmon’s bad choices of putting crew members in pitbulls danger. The popular brave Pauly Perrette was forced off NCIS because she was the only cast member w the guts to call Mark Harmon’s pitbull a DANGER when a crew member needed 16 stitches on his face from Harmon’s pitbull. Maria Bello and Emily Wickersham left too. I now believe, despite what either of these two women say, that they left too because of the pitbull danger. I am just finishing Season 18 on DVD and there are at least 3 pitbulls that have been in the last 4-5 episodes. Mark Harmon ruined NCIS because of his love of pitbulls, which have the highest kill rate of humans of any dog. I used to love the role of Gibbs but Harmon clearly doesn’t have enuf awareness of what is going on in the USA regarding all the pitbull maulings. 700 stitches on one woman, 5,000 stitches on another woman on Christmas Day, disemboweling of children. What a terrible role model Harmon ended up becoming in the end.
This revelation reveals the characters you see onscreen are not the same people off camera. Too many times people with power abuse it. Here was another blatant example. I thought they were cleaning this up in Hollywood, but it’s obvious it’s still ongoing. This confirms that I jut love Pauley Perrette, who is an inspiration to young women everywhere.
