Not only did he tattoo over scar tissue, his armpits, inside of his elbows, ribs, collarbones etc. were fully blacked out. Those spots are extremely painful because of thin skin in those areas and not a lot fat/muscle, a blackout tattoo also isn’t just one line, the artists has to work slow and a put in a lot of ink so it’s all solid black. Tattooing over superficial scar tissue actually hurts less, only if the scar tissue developed from let’s say a deep cut or tissue being removed then it can sometimes feel uncomfortably sensitive, and some people even relive trauma when being tattooed over a deep scar, see it as therapeutic, but it still does not hurt more than any tattoo does. I’m speaking out of days and days of experience. Also if a tattoo creates scar tissue then you were tattooed by someone who doesn’t know what their doing, deal with it or better deal with them. Third if you get a black out tattoo and or you do extremely long heavy coloring sessions you are totally gonna get accustomed to it and may even feel comfortable enough to fall asleep. All you posers who tell everyone it was immensely painful, just know that us people with a bodysuit know you are bullshitting or you are pathetic. Pick one.
