My aunt is a professional permanent makeup artist and she recently started doing this kind of eyebrows too and I was one of her practice runs. It seriously looks so good! She actually filled in my eyebrows fully like a normal tattoo with the lightest color she could and when I did the touch-up a month later she went in with a color that matches my natural brow color and drew in the tiny hairs and it seriously looks amazing!!! My eyebrows are naturally very sparse and uneven so this has been a lifesaver!
I have had this done, too and am very happy with the manual technique. I called it “scratch tattooing”. It is not popular in America because not a lot of people know about this technique and better quality of ink these days. I had mine done because I wanted a fuller brow and I had plucked mine thin for so many years (that was the style for a long time) that they wouldn’t grow back. It is very important to find a good tattoo artist. Even though it doesn’t last as long as a “real” tattoo, you still don’t want to look rediculous until it fades.

Sometimes when I watch Asian YouToubers I feel kinda akward (and sad maybe??). I mean I have everything that Asians normally don’t have.. my hair is kinda curly sometimes and not even black. my eyebrows are just pitch dark, almost black.. xD I’m not like more then 10 kgs lighter than my length (I’m 154 cm and 52 kg) I see a lot of Asian YouTubers with big eyes and I’m just here with my super small eyes which dissappear when I smile. my skintone isn’t light at all. Let me just address a couple of the stupid things I have seen, so that anyone who comments on this article from now on can know what NOT to say so as not to appear somewhat mentally deficient. 1. “The puffy eyes are gross.” It. Is. Her. Culture. We Americans have only recently adopted this obsession with perfectly arched, yet natural (looking) eyebrows, but before then, we sure did love our piddly ass little stick eyebrows that were thinner than our fingernails. Every culture has their own thing. We appreciate and love and crave different things and different styles of beauty. Surprisingly, not everyone in the world is going to have the same ideals for makeup. The “puffy” look is very common in Korean culture and if you don’t like it, then don’t do it to your own face. There’s no point in insulting her for something that she, and millions of others, like. 2. “So she had eyebrows, fucked them up, and then paid to have them put back… why change them in the first place.” You CANNOT tell me you have never altered anything on your body. You’ve never shaved? Never cut your hair? Never waxed? Never got highlights? Never whitened your teeth? Never tanned? We ALL do things to change how we look because sometimes we want a change and there is NOTHING. WRONG. WITH. THAT. I can’t count how many pictures I have of me in the 8th grade with absolutely butchered eyebrows because I overplucked and you know what? I LOVED those eyebrows back then.
It’s interesting to me that in Korea they like the more “manly” look of brows where as here in the U.S. it seems to be thin and have a more defined arch. I hope that makes sense…? Thanks for the article! In my area they do ‘permanent make up’ which lasts upto 4 years one girl told me. I definitely want to get something like this done. I don’t like how some of the eyebrows look I seen with strokes that look too fake in them. I really like how yours looked as soon as they were done and currently. I was born with thinner brows and sparse looking. They didn’t always used to be like that. I have only had them waxed 3-4 times in my life and they weren’t over waxed or over plucked ever but they do not grow back really now.
As a Tattoo Artist, I’m cringing at this whole process… No gloves throughout the prep time and the actual tattooing + using a machine / needle that probably isn’t sterile… Dealing with people’s blood is serious business. This is how you spread diseases and get infections. But at least, you’re happy with the result, so there’s that. (Did not mean to hurt your feelings, just trying to spread awareness because sadly, this is a common issue.)

I was just very disturbed that she was doing it with no gloves. Just like with normal tattoo you should be aware of blood pathogens. I do traditional and cosmetic tattooing and no matter what type you are doing, you are breaking the skin and being exposed to blood. I am always gloved up and I all my tools at wrapped.

Im curious if the brow artist/ you decided to draw one brow lower/higher in altitude than another or there’s some sort of different drawing techniques (or pattern?) between one and another being done in your brow. In Dallas, TX. it’s called microblading. I unfortunately didn’t do enough research and my tattoo artist was new at the procedure and over dug for every stroke so the tiny cuts actually scabbed over. They look fine now but it was horrible with scabs and gel on them for the first two weeks. Got so itchy too.

aww man, i wish i could do this because doing my eyebrows take forever :O but my surrounding eyebrow hair grows back like I’m a wilder beast and constantly waxing them off + this tattoo thing seems like a lot for me :/ ughhhh i seriously grow back eyebrow and mustache hair faster than all them boys :/
omg, I don’t usually comment on youtube but at 6:05 …is that how the person drew it in for you? Cause that is absolutely horrible! Just from experience, I’ve had mine done and the way my esthetician drew them in were so precise and detailed and had markings to make sure everything was symmetrical and even. I love love your vids and you, but the place you went to doesn’t seem ..on point based on the outline!
Ive done this in NY (expensive) – very upset bc color faded away so fast it looks like I didn’t really do anything… 1st session I did light color just to see how it will work and 2nd session I did dark brown almost black color (and I’m blond) Looked great for the 1st month and then looked really pale – I can’t explain why, could it be bc the ink was old or something ? lol or bc I should’ve done both sessions in dark colors…
I scroll throught the comments, and then I see army’s. And then, I see other army’s/people saying ” Stop say that, its annoying ” or ” Oh look, another article with army taking over the comments section. ” So what? It’s annoying, okay, but you can ignore it can’t you? It’s a comment section, seriously. You can comment whatever you want. Someone could comment ” Have you seen Bethany Mota’s new article ? ” and you wouldn’t care. Army’s are everywhere commenting, but it’s not like it’ll change what the comment section is for, nor will it change the article’s topic. The only reason why army’s post that is because they saw an army. 😐 If Wengie dislikes the commenting, then she would say something. It’s really not something to argue about.
