I’m a victim of someone who has been diagnosed with NPD and this is something my therapist told me; Narcissism is on a spectrum, we all have narcissistic traits, people who are abusive tend to have more than others and a lot of them could fit a diagnosis for NPD, but most people who are true narcissists don’t believe they have anything wrong with them which makes a diagnosis rare.
I’m so glad you talked about narcissistic personality disorder. My brother has it and we’ve been estranged now for 3 years. It’s so much more than what people think of as a “narcissist”. And to answer i think it’s part genetic and part circumstantial. They learn how to manipulate from such a young age and if they don’t want to stop and get help it just escalates.

When I was in school for my psych degree this conversation at the end would come up in almost every class. Until I got further into my studies, and we ended up talking about a gentleman who wanted to figure out nature versus nurture. He invested in a new way of scanning the brain, all kinds of in-depth research. His findings were that it is a genetic disorder, that HE HAS inherited, however no amount of nurture had ever triggered his disorder. Therefore, it is both. You can be born with the genetic disposition, but something has to trigger it. Which is why we so often see some form of abuse or head trauma involved with cases.

What blows my mind the most about this story is that the Utah government (and probably all over the country) had a backlog of SA kits going back 9 YEARS! That’s pure insanity! I catered for a popular catering company and delivered to a very popular university one day. I was in a building and a bit lost so I asked a nice older lady working there for directions. A man with gloves on came out of nowhere and told me he’d show me. He pointed the direction, which was enough, so I took the cart of food alone and was so happy to get in the elevator and away from the creepy guy with gloves. Right before the door started closing he asked if I was single. I was SO happy the doors began shutting! The last fucking second a glove pops through. I had to ride up 18 floors with this guy asking if I was married and telling me about all these “amazing” things he’s done. Mostly about gardening. I was terrified when I got off the elevator and there was literally ONE…..LOOOONG….HALLWAY to walk. I ended up having to set up my catering at the absolute last door on the end. I took as much time as possible setting up, hoping he’d be gone. I had one long hallway to the elevator and no other way. I was running with my catering cart and he pops out of the last fucking possible door. Holding a folded up piece of paper he says, “I made you a ‘Nice to meet you’ card!” He drew pictures and followed me after telling him no. He ripped the catering cart from my hands. I mouthed “help me” to the other students. I lied to him telling him I had other orders. He kept complimenting me and asking me questions. He took pictures of me and my car as I drove away. I refuse to drive in that area 8 years later.
I think people’s personalities are developed both by nurture and by nature. I have a grandson that from the time he was born, he was horrible. Screaming all the time, aggressive all the time, destructive, etc. He was unbearable to be around. When he started school, he was kicked out several times a week for his horrible and dangerous behavior. We took him to several doctors and counseling. He was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD and put on medication and counseled. It took several months of trying different medications to get one that worked and different types of discipline to correct his behavior. Now he is 9 and you would never know what we went through to get him to this point. He is still manipulative and sneaky, which worries me, but I don’t worry about him being the world’s youngest killer. If he had been in a different family that didn’t seek help for him or abused him and made his mental issues worse, he could very well have ended up on America’s Most Wanted. I still worry that when he gets older he may not keep getting help for his issues and could still end up in a bad place. So, I think some people are born bad. Some people can be helped. Some people become bad because of their environment. Everybody is different. There is no cookie cutter method or solution as to why people are the way they are.
I know you get asked to cover a lot of cases but I wonder if you could do a article on Amina and Sarah said? Their murders haunt me and i think you’d do their story justice if you told it. The other case I’d be interested in you covering us Cheryl Weimar the woman who was paralysed by prison officers. Love Christina articles 😊
No narcissism is a true sickness. My sister is a narcissist and she truly will say and do anything, be whatever she needs to be to convince the public she’s an amazing perfect person. Everything is all about her and we cut ties last year with her and it was the BEST Decision we ever made! Now life is so much easier there hasn’t been any drama etc, which she always blamed everything on me… but proof is in the actions! This guy is even worse though this is insane he went through this much!
Reading that joke of an obituary over some dramatic music makes it funnier. Trust. 😂 And as for what you said about people just throwing around the term “narcissist” loosely, I agree. When it comes to people like this, it becomes ridiculous hearing people say that so nonchalantly about just anyone they might disagree with. I actually do have someone in my family with this (confirmed), so I’ve seen and experienced it firsthand. The things these people do, the lengths they will go…it can be scary, upsetting, and downright cruel. Empathy is not in their vocabulary or dna, they will primarily look out for themselves.
I seriously admire Christina for going into these cases and bringing them to us in layman’s terms and I hope she follows this case and posts for those who can’t watch themselves. Hello Christina. Thank you so much for your ‘criminal reporting’ of Nicholas. You spent so much time investigating this criminal ‘narcissistic’ man. I have a request. Can you report on the young man, from El Paso, Texas, who killed 23 in a Walmart and injured numerous others several years ago. A few days ago, TV news said he has been sentenced to ‘90’ Consecutive Life Sentences’. 🤔 Your reporting is excellent. I watch you on uTube every night. 👍😊
While this person was never diagnosed with narcissism over the years its become more apparent that my abuser most likely was a narcissist. She most likely used me as a punching bag because I was my mom through and through, look wise and personality I was my mom and I don’t think she liked the fact I was my dad’s ex wife’s mini me. She wanted me gone but no matter what she did I wouldn’t leave my little sister behind with someone like her, she literally could’ve easily got me to not come back by not allowing my sister at the apartment.

I’ve been w a narc like him b4 – actually he wasn’t quite as bad as this guy really – & it can be pure hell. So this guy really had to be bad. If he was in as intelligent as they say I can only imagine all the believable stories he’s put forth to his friends to con them. I think the same, some narcs are made and some are born narcs. Also, a child of 12 being diagnosed with NPD doesn’t sit right with me… it’s one of those disorders that shouldn’t be diagnosed until later in life when a person has fully matured. I know there’s specific criteria that needs meeting to get that diagnosis but some of those points could apply to a lot of children, because they’re just that, children.
I went to college just to answer that question for myself after having been severely abused by my older sister. I believe for the most part that behavior is learned….. but every once in a while someone is born pure evil like my sister. Look at Ted Bundy, even he admitted to having a good, loving home as a child. As far as this dude goes, i think he’s a combo of both bio and learned behavior.
This guy is disgusting, but it’s laughable at how bad his act is. It’s insane that after everything he’s done, and being caught out he still won’t give it up. He expects the whole world to believe him, because he believes that the whole world is stupid. I’m so curious about the wife, I wonder what the dynamic is between them and what her story is! Such a crazy case!
Wow! You give the most interesting content and I love the way you present it. This story is nuts!! I think it’s a combination of hereditary factors and also their circumstances growing up. Seems like it has to be both. But one also seen a few really bad seeds that seemingly came out of great homes where the parents tried everything to help their child when they saw disturbing behavior. It’s good question that probably has a complicated answer.
He is absolutely ridiculous. People like this are made in my opinion. I think everyone is born pure and early experiences reroute the brain. I do believe a person has to have a certain chemical makeup and hormone balance to develop personality disorders or any anxiety disorders etc… But continued early trauma of a certain kind plus that specific gene set definitely causes personality disorders. I have BPD and OCD and it’s in my genes to possibly develop those conditions, but it’s the trauma I endured that was the catalyst to fire off in my brain at a young age.

I’m a current social worker for DCYF. Obviously can’t speak for his experience in care as a dependent child. But what I can say is our system fails children daily. Many of our children do get SA before care and in care. And once this happens to them they are more at risk of being a victim again and again. Also many times these kids go on to be perpetrators and perpetuate the cyle. But I’ve also seen the otherside of it with kids that manipulate and go in and out of hospitals that end up being in the adult prison system the rest of their life. And that cycle continues. I’m not going to give my opion of him, its not my place. Thank you for always having good content and showing both sides.
With him being diagnosed at such a young age there is definitely something hereditary there. I have seen stuff like this pass down in families. It’s definitely something in the wiring if their brains that is off. It doesn’t by any means excuse their behavior it simply explains it. They make the conscious choice to act on what comes into their brain.

Also I’m from Providence Rhode Island but I live in North Carolina right now I grew up in Rhode Island from and with dcyf taking me and my brothers my two brothers away it is very possible that he did get molested but like you said all those times but when I was in group homes in foster homes up there I got tied to a chair one time it’s just so many things and my brain tries to block it out now cuz it’s traumatic dcyf move me to four different homes in a year

Excellent work, per usual my dear! Can you please consider covering the Baby Ayla case from Maine? She has yet to be “found”, let alone receive any sort of justice. Her father is 100% involved somehow, including his sister and girlfriend. It’s all so icky. Please consider it, Maybe even if it’s in a article where you perhaps cover multiple cases that wouldn’t otherwise be its own article. (Although, I think it would be!) even just a shout out about the case somewhere on one of your platforms could once again raise awareness to that lil baby’s case 😢
Hi Christina, thank you so much for putting so much time and effort into everything you put out!! I came across the case of Grant Solomon. I can’t help but think the reason it’s not more well known is because the father has connections in his town with everybody, and I mean everybody!!! Plus he got an inheritance, so he’s now loaded, in addition to having tight connections with everyone!!!(Law Enforcement, Judges, DCFS, both children’s schools and even in with the church). So here goes….The father SA’s daughter for years and years then kills his son and is still walking the street. His son was right around 18 and was trying to get custody of his little sister to stop the beatings and SA. In addition, hoping to be granted full custody then outing his dad about the SA. But, the son died and the city completely botched the entire investigation. Them swept everything under the rug. (Even thou nothing the father said about the death matched up with anything and untrue). The daughter begged and pleaded with people at her church and school, (recorded messages of her telling all her superiors about the SA and beatings) They told her basically if that info came out that it would look really bad on her and just to deal with it) It is one of those cases that I think about almost every day. I have never cried so much over a case that I researched! Like I say with lawsuits, and whatnot you may not want to touch this one with a ten foot pole. The whole situation goes so so much deeper, it’s almost not believable!
One of these “Deny, deny, deny” crazies. They truly believe no matter the evidence- the actual proof, they have against them- that if they deny it long enough, people will start to believe them. Scary. I am so glad the woman went through with the charges against this monster. Kudos to her! I hope she has found the strength to realize, to never doubt herself.

His diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder makes me believe he lied about any abuse in the system. He made the worst thing people could think to happen to a child happen to him. He became the center of attention for those things and making it sound so audacious that people would listen irregardless if they believed him

You are so right, in regards to the the term narcissist being thrown around. I was raised by a narcissist mother, so in turn, married a diagnosed narcissist. Then having to escape that marriage of 26 years with nothing but a suitcase & my dog. A narcissist is very different than a selfish &/or arrogant person. Yes, some people have narcissistic traits, but that far from makes them a narcissist.

About your question on if people are born this way, sometimes I think so. I am a retired hairstylist, I had a client who married a man but divorced him after he started making explosives and telling he was going to blow up places. He didn’t as far as we know but he scared her. However when she left him she was pregnant. She had a son and never knew his father. She remarried a good man and her son only knew this man as dad. When he was about 8 he became fascinated with explosives. Also research has found out that people who do extra daring things, that there is a gene that makes them that way and they can test for that gene in people.

I will start with no matter what people are responsible for their actions and past trauma is not an excuse to harm others…But, past trauma can explain it. I am in the helping profession and can promise you that DV is not a hereditary condition you are born with. Children that witness DV and abuse, can sadly become tomorrow’s abuser. That traumatic background will harm any child, but all deal with it differently. Some as yourself get one right path after falling off, some become self-destructive, some marry abusers and sadly some become abusers. Narcissism and narcissistic abusers often develop when peoples needs are not met early on and then they want everyone to fill their needs and admire them in adulthood. There are also some that develop personality disorders in adulthood, often can link to past trauma. I am glad this man will be stopped so others won’t suffer in the future. That is why more should be done about DV and treating children who witness or experience abuse, the sooner the better!!!! Thanx again!
30:29 If you’re referring to Narcissism, I’ve talked to my therapist about it. There are basically two types of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. The first type is the one that people are born with. They were born narcissists and they’re gonna die narcissists. There’s no treatment for them. The second type is actually caused by trauma that isn’t treated or addressed for years. The person basically breaks and becomes a narcissist. This can be treated in therapy.
You forgot to mention that Canada was also dragged into this crazy case. A woman in Montreal hired a man in Ireland to do some online work for her. Paid him upwards of $60,000 and he never ended up doing any of the work she had asked him to do. Gave her a mix of the Arthur Knight/Nicholas Rossi names and gaslit her and threatened her with legal action when she confronted him about taking the money but not having any of the work. She would like some justice in this case along with all his other victims, but I feel like her case gets over looked sometimes since this case is already a wild one without her story.
This is so freaky. Arthur my have had Covid but he recovered quite well. The extra weight and “moon face” are common from taking prednisone, one of the medications they give for breathing problems. I just watched a article of him doing a documentary about himself! It is so insane! HIM TALKING ABOUT HIMSELF. Right there, big as life, in the clear light, pretending he is a Doctor! But he does not even trying to disguise himself! I feel very sad if he was abused growing up. Something has obviously done something terrible to his brain. This last article of him acting like a Doctor and talking about himself really freaked me out. There are dangerous people out there. I have worked as a Nurse my whole life. In a prison, and an intermediate mental health facility and most recently with people who are severly mentally ill and post brain injuries. Some potentially dangerous. For the most part I loved them all and found some good in every one of them. But this Nicholas guy…omg. I’ve never seen anyone who believed he is whoever he wants to be. Devious and so bold to be able to talk about himself as another person and truly believe he has the power to make others believe him. Scary. .

Just look at all the people who are given a really rough hand in life and go forth turning lemons into lemonade. He allowed his bad experiences to turn him into a reprobate. It’s all about choices, and the choices we make make us who we are.

The recording of the wife that phoned and said that Nicholas had died has recently came to light. Guess who the wife is!?!……MIRANDA! Louise is her middle name!! 😨. Which proves that she knew him while he was Nicholas Alahverdian!! She’s been in on it from day one but never been arrested for helping him!! WTF!? 😨
Oh my goodness, I lose this message and I don’t know if you got it or not. What I wanted to say is that I like your fairness and your sensibility, and I think your parents extends to everyone as far as I can tell. What I mean by that is you extend fairness to those With dubious, motives and intentions. I feel like you give them room and give us room to see it, play out and make another sensible decision. I do think as a society, we need to pull together, and wherever, and whenever possible help the less fortunate who ask for a hand up. No, I didn’t say a hand out I said hand up if they honestly have a desire to write themselves, I do feel like as a society. It’s best if we try to pull them through that and help them out. Theres definetely hereditary part in play. With NPD, BPD, depression, etc. People are more inclined to develop mental health problems that their biological parents suffer from. Circumferential part is also in play, considering the fact (theory) that he did witness his father treat his mom poorly. However it doesn’t excuse his actions. Its up to an individual to seek help/treatment/ diagnosis when they think or know (he knew) they have a problem, which could hurt/affect others. He chose to embrace his darkness, and I hope he wont be given the insanity plea.
9:08 Psychiatrists cannot diagnose NPD in anyone under 18. The DSM just doesn’t allow for it. (That doesn’t mean we don’t all know when the kid’s got it, but clinically we must allow for the reality that a 12-year-old brain is still developing and may still shift personality. This is why we have a diagnosis called Conduct Disorder, which is probably what, if anything, his paperwork at the time said he was diagnosed with.)
