Why Is Hisoka'S Spider Tattoo Fake?
Hisoka, a character from the Phantom Troupe, doesn’t see himself as a true member of the group, as indicated by his fake spider tattoo. This tattoo serves merely as an illusion, as he has no genuine connection to the other Spiders and even offers to betray them to Kurapika to better pursue his ultimate goal of fighting Chrollo. Hisoka’s choice of a fake tattoo rather than a real one might seem risky, yet it showcases his confidence in his deception skills, emphasizing that his identity as a Spider is superficial.
The initiation ritual of the Phantom Troupe requires members to obtain a real tattoo, and since Hisoka never partook in this process, he essentially proves he is not a legitimate member. Furthermore, his ability to use Texture Surprise to replicate instances such as his fortune leads to speculation that he could potentially create a fake spider tattoo.
Hisoka's spider tattoo symbolizes other meanings, mainly linking spiders with themes of death and darkness, potentially reflecting his dark personality. The reason behind the teardrop on Hisoka's face remains ambiguous, possibly signifying past hardships or merely being a part of his aesthetic. Throughout his time with the Black Whale and during other encounters, he demonstrates his interest lies solely in fighting Chrollo rather than forging bonds with fellow Spiders.
In crucial moments, Hisoka reveals the fake nature of his spider tattoo by removing it, indicating his transient role in the Troupe and further focusing on his personal ambitions rather than group loyalty. Although he has defeated members in combat, Hisoka’s perpetual detachment underlines that his existence as a Spider is ultimately one of pretense and self-serving intrigue. His design, resembling the spider web motif, universally resonates with his cunning nature, trapping opponents through gleaming words and manipulative actions while maintaining the facade of being a Troupe member without actual allegiance.
Which Spider Has Hisoka Killed?
Hisoka, having survived and vowing revenge, embarked on a mission to eliminate all members of the Phantom Troupe, starting with the deaths of Shalnark and Kortopi—two relatively weak members, as they were defenseless without their nen abilities. This raises questions about Hisoka's motivations and capabilities; could he indeed kill any member given the right circumstances? While he could potentially take down strong members like Chrollo, he may find it easier to target those who present less challenge, like Kalluto, the youngest and least experienced Spider at just twelve years old.
Hisoka's recent actions are marked by chaos and unpredictability, contrasting with other characters such as Gon. Hisoka returned from death through his nen abilities, immediately going for the Spiders. He seems to have formed an alliance with Illumi, who has joined the hunt for Hisoka, which might allow Kurapika to confront both Illumi and Kalluto using Chain Jail.
Discussions among the Spiders indicate that Hisoka is a formidable threat; Chrollo and Machi debated over who would best confront him, recognizing that the stakes are higher than a mere coin flip—this is a pursuit involving the entire group. As Hisoka continues his rampage, which he believes could bring him excitement, the members of the Phantom Troupe remain on high alert, determined to stop him before he can achieve his goal of eliminating them.
Hisoka's approach appears calculated; he might have enacted a seiyaku (a vow) that could enhance his abilities. The ongoing conflict suggests that Hisoka is on a relentless quest, fueled by a desire for revenge against Chrollo, marking the beginning of a deadly hunt against the entire Phantom Troupe, starting with the weaker members. As the story unfolds, the tension between Hisoka and the Spiders escalates, leading to uncertain outcomes for both sides.
Who Is Spider 0 HXH?
Chrollo, the bearer of the 0 mark, is the founder and the strongest member of the Phantom Troupe, a notorious gang of thieves in 'Hunter x Hunter' known for their Class-A bounties. His skills are well acknowledged, including by Zeno Zoldyck, and he is a formidable opponent in combat. The Phantom Troupe, referred to as "Spider," has distinct tattoos representing its members, with Chrollo's spider tattoo featuring the number 0. The tattoo's precise location remains undisclosed, but the 1999 anime adaptation depicted it on his right arm without a visible number.
Among the members, Kortopi is noted as the weakest. The Troupe showcases adaptability, akin to spiders, which symbolizes their resilience in facing challenges, even when Chrollo, their leader, is at risk. In intense confrontations, such as with Hisoka, Chrollo employs his unique ability known as 'Skill Hunter,' highlighting his strategic acumen.
Chrollo's cunning is exemplary, as demonstrated by his ability to detect deception, a skill furthered by Kurapika's chains in the new continent arc. In total, the Spider originated with nine members, consisting of Chrollo as No. 0 and eight others as legs numbered from 1 to 12. Notable members include Nobunaga Hazama (No. 1), Feitan (No. 2), Machi (No. 3), Hisoka, and Kalluto among others.
While details about the fourth member remain scarce, the Troupe's cohesion and efficiency are integral to their criminal pursuits. Each member’s tattoo indicates their rank within the group, revealing a structured hierarchy centered around Chrollo's leadership. As an emitter-type Nen user, Chrollo specializes in long-range attacks, showcasing his versatility and dominance within the Troupe. The Phantom Troupe remains a significant faction within the 'Hunter x Hunter' narrative, defined by their ruthlessness and complex dynamics.
Are Hisoka And Illumi Married?
Hisoka treats Illumi as a toy, while Illumi harbors intentions to kill him one day. Despite their tumultuous relationship, in the manga "Hunter X Hunter," they are essentially depicted as married. The ambiguity of their marital status remains, but Yoshihiro Togashi, the series creator, confirmed aspects of their relationship as canon in Volume 36, Chapter 377. While some fans claim Hisoka and Illumi are married, there are arguments against it, primarily due to the Zoldyck family's code forbidding family members from killing each other, making a marriage impractical. Hisoka's absence in the manga prevents him from officially declaring a marriage to Illumi.
Illumi refers to their bond in a manner suggesting engagement, yet this reflects a twisted perspective on love, affection, and friendship, rather than a traditional romance. They seem unlikely to hold a formal wedding; however, they are bound by a unique understanding that resembles marriage. Illumi mentions an engagement to Chrollo, referencing their relationship and a supposed prenuptial agreement. Hisoka once joked during the "York New" arc that their connection was merely a transaction rather than a real marriage.
Though Illumi and Hisoka may not fit conventional romantic molds or social norms, they are engaged in a simplified, contractual sense. Their relationship dynamics imply deeper connections, with implications of inheritance and obligation upon Hisoka's potential demise. Overall, while many aspects of their relationship suggest a bond akin to marriage, it remains contentious and open to interpretation among fans.
Is Illumi Married To Hisoka?
Hisoka has contracted Illumi to kill him, and they have an unusual relationship that some interpret as a marriage. However, the exact nature of their relationship is still ambiguous. Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of "Hunter X Hunter," does confirm their connection as canon in Volume 36, Chapter 377 of the manga. Illumi indicates their engagement and mentions a prenuptial agreement to Chrollo, which adds complexity to their dynamic.
Despite this, their bond may not resemble traditional marriage, as Hisoka previously joked about it in the "York New" arc, suggesting a more transactional relationship by stating it’s "just some give and take."
The question of their marital status remains open, with some fans positing that Hisoka and Illumi's interactions indicate a deeper relationship. However, Hisoka is absent in recent chapters, leaving the narrative on their relationship somewhat incomplete. Illumi has characterized their relationship as give-and-take, which implies a lack of typical romantic elements.
Critically, the Zoldyck family has strict codes regarding family dynamics, making any potential marriage problematic. Their examples highlight the Zoldyck family's disapproval of Alluka's desire to adopt a female identity, hinting at a rigid understanding of roles within the family. In discussions, some fans claim that Hisoka and Illumi are not in a conventional relationship or marriage, as familial killing is forbidden within the Zoldyck clan.
Ultimately, Hisoka's engagement to Illumi seems to blend elements of loyalty, manipulation, and partnership rather than love in a conventional sense. While they are, in a form, engaged, the deeper emotional connections and societal implications of their relationship raise questions about its true nature. Their understanding of love, affection, and friendship seems unconventional, reinforcing the idea that their connection transcends mere labels.
Does Illumi Have A Spider Tattoo?
In the Hunter x Hunter series, Illumi Zoldyck disguises himself as Gittarackur by utilizing large, round head pins that alter his facial structure, musculature, and voice so completely that he becomes unrecognizable. Each member of the Phantom Troupe, a group of notorious criminals in the series, is marked with a tattoo depicting a twelve-legged spider adorned with a number that signifies their place within the organization, ranging from 0 to 12. Illumi possesses the spider tattoo featuring the number 11 on the abdomen, but the specific location of his tattoo remains unclear.
Kalluto, who has been a part of the Phantom Troupe since the Greed Island arc, undoubtedly has a tattoo as well, though details about its design and placement are also not disclosed. The nature of tattoo acquisition raises questions: Did Illumi and Kalluto have to obtain their spider tattoos, and if so, where might they be located on their bodies? Discussions on various forums reflect curiosity about these details, especially considering how conspicuous these tattoos can be to signify one's allegiance to the Troupe.
Illumi, being a Zoldyck family member, is characterized as both talented and sadistic, engaging in multiple antagonistic roles throughout the series, particularly in the Hunter Exam and the 13th Hunter Chairman Election arcs. The Phantom Troupe plays a pivotal role in the overarching narrative, often creating conflict with Illumi due to their shared interests, particularly in dealing with other characters like Hisoka.
Each Troupe member possesses unique Nen abilities and the spider tattoo acts as a vital symbol of their bond. For example, Hisoka's tattoo is located on his back as number 4, while Shizuku’s is near her waist as number 8, and Uvogin’s is marked as number 11. Chrollo, the head of the Troupe, bears the number 0, typically positioned on his right shoulder, confirming the practice of having visible tattoos that denote rank and identity within the group.
Potential new members are required to kill an existing member to earn a place, reinforcing the lethality and loyalty associated with the Phantom Troupe. Illumi's spider tattoo, along with its elusive location, contributes to the intrigue surrounding his character and connection to the Troupe, as fans explore the significance of these tattoos throughout the series.
Who Is The Number 0 Spider In Phantom Troupe?
Chrollo Lucilfer, the bearer of the 0 mark, is the founder and leader of the notorious Phantom Troupe in the manga Hunter x Hunter. He is recognized as the strongest member of the group, a claim supported by characters like Zeno Zoldyck. Chrollo's combat abilities are formidable, making him a challenging opponent for any adversary. Each member of the Phantom Troupe is identified by a tattoo of a spider, with Chrollo representing the core, marked as 0, while other members are numbered from 1 to 12, reflecting their order of joining.
The Phantom Troupe, known for its ruthless efficiency and skills in thievery, has a diverse membership. Notable members include Nobunaga, Feitan, Machi, and the recently appointed Kalluto Zoldyck, who took Hisoka’s place as member 4. The recent manga developments reveal the backstory of the Spiders, including their childhood friendships and the implications of the missing numbers among the troupe's ranks.
Chrollo exhibits remarkable strategic prowess, employing his ability 'Skill Hunter' in intense battles against powerful enemies like Hisoka, which showcases not only his strength but also his intelligence. The Phantom Troupe's history can be traced back to Meteor City, established approximately 12 years prior to the current timeline. While Chrollo possesses physical strength ranked seventh among members, he remains the most significant figure in the organization, often referred to as the head of the Spider.
In summary, Chrollo Lucilfer stands at the pinnacle of the Phantom Troupe, embodying the essence of its power and leadership while navigating the complex relationships and histories of its members.
Is Feitan A Zoldyck?
A popular fan theory among Hunter X Hunter enthusiasts suggests that Feitan might actually belong to the Zoldyck family. This theory stems from various observations: Feitan is a young Nen user from Meteor City, the same birthplace as Killua's mother, and he bears a resemblance to Killua’s darker-haired siblings. Notably, Feitan has black hair, a trait that characterizes most of the Zoldycks, apart from Killua.
However, there are contradictions that challenge this idea—Zoldyck family members typically have silver hair, and the addition of black hair originates from Killua's mother, who lacks Zoldyck lineage.
The Zoldyck family consists of five children, all of whom have names that follow a specific katakana pattern, which Feitan's name does not conform to. Furthermore, Feitan's last name was disclosed in the manga as "Portor," leading many to believe there is no Zoldyck connection. Despite lacking official confirmation, the theory persists, suggesting a narrative twist where Feitan discovers his Zoldyck heritage later in the story.
Supporters claim similarities between Feitan and Kalluto Zoldyck, which fuels speculation about their potential familial connection. However, critics of the theory argue that speculating Feitan as a Zoldyck is akin to the fandom of Naruto, which often fancifully associates characters. While Feitan has shown remarkable strength as the de facto leader of the Phantom Troupe, following Chrollo's absence, he is primarily recognized as Feitan Portor and not as a Zoldyck.
Some theorize that perhaps Kalluto is aware of Feitan's true origins, safeguarded by his closeness to Kikyo. This theory remains a topic of intrigue and speculation within the Hunter X Hunter community.
What Spider Number Is Illumi?
Illumi Zoldyck has joined the Phantom Troupe, taking the mark that once belonged to Uvogin, which is the number 11. Illumi is recognized as one of the strongest members in the Troupe, rivaling even Hisoka. His spider tattoo, which features the number 11, is on the abdomen of the spider, though the exact location of the tattoo on his body has not been disclosed. In his youth, Illumi's hair was shoulder-length, and he wore long sleeves with a shirt beneath, paired with gray pants. Each member of the Phantom Troupe has a twelve-legged spider tattoo somewhere on their body, accompanied by a number from 0 to 12 unique to each member.
Illumi's addition to the Troupe was initiated by Hisoka’s request, solidifying his place as No. 11. The Troupe has varying strength levels, with the weakest confirmed member being Kortopi, who possesses a contract with Hisoka to be killed should he be defeated in combat. It is speculated that the numbers assigned to members were chosen randomly, as there is no specific ranking within the Troupe, apart from Chrollo, the leader.
Another notable member is Kalluto Zoldyck, Illumi’s younger brother, who ranks as No. 4 and specializes in paper manipulation through Nen. All Troupe members showcase different unique abilities, but they share the common spider tattoo.
In the broader context of the Hunter x Hunter series, the Phantom Troupe plays a significant role, intertwining with the journey of Gon Freecss. Notably, Nobunaga, who is another member, exhibits a powerful aura that intimidates characters like Gon and Killua. As the narrative unfolds, Illumi is assigned number 301 and identifies Goz as his primary target while on a mission on an island. The dynamics within the Troupe, especially following losses like Shalnark’s, highlight their ever-evolving structure and hierarchy.
For those who doesn’t know the actual meaning of the article: it actually has 2 translations “kill” and “do” when hisoka asked illumi if he could “kill” killua, it was supposed to be “do” and adding the fig japanese hand gesture as a hint, hisoka meant if he could r*pe and k*ll killua (yes both of that) which of course made illumi mad (he actually cares and loved killua, he just didn’t know how to show it the proper way since he was probably also manipulated by silva) then of course killua felt his brother’s bloodlust (desire to kill) which is not surprising because killua grew up alongside illumi, another hint of desire to kill is the crows that are flying which is a sign of murder (the crows probably felt illumi’s strong bloodlust) but the plot twist is that hisoka purposely made illumi mad to let killua know they’re there by feeling his brother’s bloodlust Edit: correct me if I’m wrong, just make sure it makes sense and that it’s actually correct (no offense btw)
Pretty sure Illumi would rather see Killua killed than what Hisoka is ACTUALLY asking. Half of Hisoka’s lines have completely perverted double meanings. Especially when the word is “yaru”. (Or “zoku zoku” or “I’m feeling a little sensitive”). He’s always subbed wrong since the double-entendres don’t work in English ;_;
I don’t really have anything to add but I just wanna say that this scene actually has a very sad implication to it and it’s the same implication as there is in Illumi taking the Hunter Exam to make sure Killua didn’t get into trouble and following him to protect him. The Zoldyck family is abusive, plain and simple. But it’s a cycle of abuse, where the perpetrators abuse the victims because they themselves were victims of the same abuse but were taught it was normal because they were abused by someone else who thought it was normal, etc. And for as horrible as Illumi is to Killua, he doesn’t realize that he is horrible. All he knows is this abuse, he doesn’t know it’s abuse, he cares about Killua and he thinks he’s showing it and being a good brother when he’s just being abusive.
The sign he did with his hand explains everything. And no, it’s not just “kill”. Also, it’s not a sign language per say. It’s a Japanese gesture. ×The Scene is out of context.× Oh! Another note to remember: Hisoka purposefully made Illumi mad to inform Killua of their presence. Hisoka intended Killua to feel his brother’s bloodlust though the way he(Hisoka) went about aggravating Illumi is and will always be questionable.
lol i cant tell if the best thing about this scene is illumi’s intense and extravagant amount of bloodlust knowing that hisoka wants to kill his younger brother the literal rage and dark aura just from hearing those words, or the fact that hisoka that silly bastard purposely triggered illumis bloodlust knowing how risky things could get just so he could help killua out by alerting him that his brother was nearby so he could reach gon quicker and heal him. both are good
In the actual Japanese translation, Hisoko says, “am I allowed to do killua” sooooooooooo. Interpret that how u want but one more thing, the sign hisoka is making with his hand is also commonly associated with sex in Japan. Thats why illumi gets so pissed off. Thats also why i was confused at first cause Illumi was trying to kill killua anyway so why would he be mad if Hisoka wanted to kill him ;))
In the original manga, Hisoka asks Irumi: 僕がキルアを殺るのはアリかい? (boku ga kirua o yaru no wa ari kai?) Funny thing is that Hisoka uses this kanji 殺る (yaru) instead of 殺す(korosu). The last one would be more appropiate if he just want to say ‘kill’, because ‘yaru’ could mean in this context either to kill someone or to have sex with. Hisoka’s hands are giving Irumi a pretty clear idea which he’s going for
Knowing Hisoka as a person, he loves to fight strong opponents for pleasure. So what’s the pure reason behind as to why he didn’t fight Illumi; when Illumi oozed his bloodlust towards him? Given the fact that Hisoka only rated Illumi at 95, and assuming he’s at 100? The reason is that he miscalculated Illumi. The 95 there was based on Gittarackur which allows Illumi to hid his true aura/real strength. Remember that Illumi is a manipulator. He probably manipulates his aura on his own accord. Illumi is a different type of manipulator compared to the likes of Shalnark. As you can tell that Shalnark’s aura is lighter. Illumi’s aura is more sinister because the malice in there is massive. Illumi is such a mysterious and weird guy, weird enough to not show his real powers even with the Zoldycks. “You see what I let you see, and think what I let you think”/”To envelope all things in light” –Hence, the name Illumi; an antithesis to Meruem’s “Light that illuminates all light”. Way back in Hunter Exam Arc, Hisoka threatens Illumi to not touch Gon; because Gon was Hisoka’s prey. Illumi obeys, of course, he wasn’t paid to assassinate Gon. And not to mention that Gon broke Illumi’s arm and his reaction was “yep, it’s broken” nonchalantly — such a weird guy and ‘dead’ inside & outside. In YorkNew Arc, Hisoka needs help from Illumi just to sneak-out Ryodan’s hideout and fight Lucilfer. Illumi will just lend a hand, if Hisoka has to pay him. Hisoka, of course, paid Illumi just to fullfill his ultimate dream with Lucilfer.
Hisoka says “boku wa killua ga yaru no wa?” Which is at face value translated as “Can I do so to Killua (what we just talked about)” Hisoka is using many of the high context features characteristic to Japanese euphemism: the ‘ga’ particle is used to denote well-established information both parties are already aware of and the ‘no wa’ particle combination indicates a place holder for the response of the other person “Sally no ko wa yasashii.” “George no wa?” “Sally’s kid is kind.” “George’s (kid) is …(kind/mean/lazy..etc)?” This kind of heavy euphemism isn’t supposed to be used for such a direct subject matter (murder). One is only expected to use these shortcuts for routine or common exchanges. So by phrasing it like this we are to get the impression that Hisoka is either A) talking about something they usually do often B) being deliberately indirect so he can get uninformed consent or C, the one I think is most in line with Hisoka’s personality) making a subtle threat/taunt. Also, it’s worth noting that the word ‘yaru’ is a generic verb meaning ‘to do’ BUT like English: it has the particular connotation of violence “to do (someone in)” Or perhaps, most insidiously, relevant to Hisoka: something sexual “to do (someone)”
This guy is exactly like itachi and killua is like sasuke. Wait wait relax hear me out first: killua has an attitude like sasuke’s (doesn’t care about stuff really, chilled out most of the time) if sasukes parents weren’t killed. 2nd the zoldycks kinda remind me of the Uchiha, OP as hell and really cool. 3rd, illumi seems to hate killua and gives off hostile vibes to him in the beginning during the hunter exams, just like itachi did with his genjutsu ( if you remember the fight between itachi and sasuke you would remember the scene where it seemed like itachi wanted to kill sasuke and take his eyes and in this case, illumis Ren is compared to itachis genjutsu.) and in the end it turns out the older brothers actually care. Finally, like cmon, there are crows behind illumi. Do I need to say anything else? I rest my case.
