Does Mirai Nagasu Have A Tattoo On Her Right Leg?

4.5 rating based on 34 ratings

Mirai Nagasu, the first American woman to land a triple axel in the Olympics, was a viral sensation due to what appeared to be a giant USA tattoo on her leg. The tattoo was not a tattoo, but rather KT Tape, an elastic sports tape designed to relieve pain while supporting muscles, tendons, and bones. Nagasu was wearing Team USA during her Winter Olympics performance, making her the third woman and first American to land a triple axel in Olympic competition.

The tattoo was not a big bold tattoo, but rather a piece of kinesio tape. While many viewers were amazed by her routine, they were also distracted by what appeared to be a tattoo on her right thigh. According to Nagasu, this was “definitely not a big bold tattoo”, and was actually just a piece of kinesio tape. Social media was abuzz about what was potentially a giant USA tattoo on Nagasu’s inner thigh.

In conclusion, Mirai Nagasu’s 2018 Winter Olympics performance left viewers wondering if she had a leg tattoo or a leg tattoo. It turned out that she was wearing KTTape PRO USA tape, an kinesiology tape designed to provide pain relief and support for athletes. While the leg tattoo was a significant part of Nagasu’s performance, it was not the only tattoo she had. The controversy surrounding her leg tattoo and her right thigh tattoo has left many viewers questioning her dedication to her country and her ability to perform well in the Olympics.

  • I just love how much she loves her sport. Like she wasn’t like “armpit hair is gross and you should shave it” she was like “people would make a big deal about hairy armpits instead of my skating and I want them to remember my skating so I shave” that to me just truly made an impact even if it was just a small little comment

  • Mirai Nagasu is the first American woman to land the triple axel at the Olympics. Tonya Harding landed it at US nationals but not at the Olympics. There are only three women who landed it at the Olympics: Mirai, Midori Ito, and Mao Asada. There’s actually only around 10 women who have successfully landed a triple axel.

  • I love how much I related to this as a ballet dancer. Like I HATE that bobby one pin that’s in your hair and you can’t find it, and ughhh I get so many blisters in my pointe shoes so I use second skins to help them, plus I had to learn to put on fake lashes for shows. I also loved this article so much, she seemed so interesting and laid back.

  • Mirai is pretty even without makeup! I might try some of her favorite makeup and skincare products. I’m Chinese and I also want as much of that natural look as possible. My mom also doesn’t wear makeup, and neither does my sister. I’m the only one with makeup in the house, but I don’t wear it unless it’s for my figure skating competitions, cosplay, or fancy events.

  • Learning to fall is one thing, but learning to keep going once you fall is very mental. I once fell backwards while ice dancing. Another couple smashed in to me and I used my hands to break my fall (big mistake). I broke both my wrists (unbeknownst to me…I just knew they hurt real bad). My ice dance instructor was militant and I was scared of him. He made me get up and keep dancing with my hands and arms locked in place. He didn’t let me stop until I was literally crying. My mom wanted to punch him out when she realized what he made me endure. But that experience showed me how adrenaline can help a person get through anything. Granted, I would not recommend anyone to do that.

  • I absolutely love how just…unprofessional yet professional she is lol. She’s just like a regular girl that’s chaotic with their makeup/makeup bag and her personality is just cute and funny. She’s different than the other people that have been on here that have different techniques and personalities but are still super professional(and kinda boring tbh but they’re still amazing people and are great at what they do don’t get me wrong!)

  • I literally did not know that the perfect person was a real thing until I watched this article. Like OMG, I’m a girl and ngl I often get disillusioned with being a woman bc of fake-feminists hiding behind the feminism label, but I realised recently that the girl-Olympians are low-key heroes. 🙂 Happy to have someone inspirational to now go and follow on instagram.

  • I am also a figure skater and I feel so free when im on the ice and when she said ” sometimes I have to tape myself back together” … I relate so much 😂 having to wrap my feet and stuff 😂 and yes you have to keep up with flexibility and stuff and stretch and stuff but I like perusal this stuff it’s soo fun being able to see how other people life are but when you relate to someone so much it even better lol

  • Wow! I’m a ballerina and I can see that although most people don’t see it Ballet is very similar to ice skating. We have therapists,we need to be extremely flexible,(and strong),Etc! We also visit gyms on a daily basis along with ballet because excercising helps ballet. The only thing that is a bit different is the shoes because pointe shoes (the shoes ballerinas have) hurts A LOT and sometimes your toe nails fall off 😢 I’m not SURE if skates hurt I don’t think so but don’t get mad at me if they do hurt 😅.

  • Well, she’s just a drop of sunshine! I’ve never said that in my life, but with her it just fits! hahaha. I’m still convinced that people who can skate, let alone skate and do jumps…they must hold some magical powers. Mad props. She is the perfect mix of being both feminine & powerful & badass & genuine & wonderfully great. Can we be friends while eating pasta, talk about the Backstreet Boys, and have fun ?! hahaha

  • All of these are so inspiring- a lot of people didn’t make it the first time they wanted to get into something- or sometimes not even the second. I just got my rejection letter for my grad program of choice and it was disappointing, but I’ll keep persisting. After all, what’s success without struggle first? …..and she has relatable sock lint- I love this woman lol

  • I really want to be an Olympic Figure Skater but I’m worried that I won’t make it due to the young ages (haven’t gone skating at all due to money issues and I’m 16 currently 😬). I’ve been doing research about the age restrictions and I don’t know what to believe. News articles stated that they are raising it to 17 but more articles are saying junior worlds are from 13-19 and sometimes 21. So can I still qualify since I still can do juniors??? Help??

  • “I haven’t learned how to do fake eyelashes yet” Me: wow, I am 11 (and I’m a dancer) and I have been doing my fake eyelashes for 2 years Not trying to be rude, just sharing that I think she is so talented and amazing I wasn’t expecting her to not be able to do that. She still looks amazing without fake lashes!
