In an op-ed published by NBC News, 53-year-old US Senator John Fetterman claims that each of the nine tattoos on his right forearm marks “a day on which someone died violently while I was mayor of”. Most of the claims focus on Fetterman’s now-blotted-out tattoo. The campaign for Fetterman has not provided more information about it, but offered a statement that “This attack from Republicans i”. Fetterman is also somewhat unique in that he has prominent tattoos on each of his forearms. Each forearms contains a special meaning for him.
Fatherman, formerly mayor of Braddock, a small town outside Pittsburgh, took to Medium this week to offer an explanation about the tattoos on his arms. He said he has nine dates tattooed on his arm to represent the violent deaths that occurred in Braddock during his tenure as mayor, including the death of a 23-month-old who was killed. Fetterman used to have a tattoo on the outside of his right wrist that read, “I will make you hurt”, a lyric from a popular song that refers to needle use.
In an op-ed published by NBC News, Fetterman writes that his tattoos mark days on which someone died violently while he was mayor of Braddock. Fetterman has Braddock’s zip code tattooed on his arm, and the “15104” tattooed on his left arm represents the zip code of the Pittsburgh borough where he served as mayor.
